"Hiiiiii-YAH!"

Dang, Lu's claws were almost as big as she was. I had no room to talk though, my sword was awesome and pretty big too.

"Elsword, behind you!" Lu shouted. I just smirked as a club whacked me upside the head, but it and the thug holding it get thrown back.

"Destruction aura Lu, don't worry about it." I gave her a thumbs up as another goon tried to whack my head. Not that it didn't hurt, it hurt like hell. However, I've been training my body to withstand pain since I was very young, so I've mastered the art of not flinching when I'm hit. "You should worry about Rena and Ciel! All aloooone down there, by themseeeeelves." Lu gave me a glare that should've killed me, but somehow didn't. Aisha looked over her shoulder while she was blasting some other guards.

"SHUT. UP!!!!" The both yelled at me in perfect sync. Seriously, are you girls psychic or something? You always seem to have perfect timing with each other.

Or maybe Dad was right and they're just aliens.....

"ELSWORD FOR GOODNESS' SAKE, FIGHT!!!" A hint of panic creeping into Aisha's voice. I realized why very quickly. The central courtyard we were in was filling with guards a little too quickly for my liking. The dark clouds above started dripping rain onto us as we fought side by side, though we were getting pushed back every other second. Eventually we were pinned to the gate leading into the inner castle, fighting just for room to swing our weapons.

"There's too many of em!" I yelled, blocking a guards sword. (Which by the way, blocking is my LEAST favorite thing to do, I'd much rather be forcing my opponent to block instead)

"Oh ho! What have we here!?" A static-y voice asked from a megaphone. The guards stopped attacking us and parted to reveal a wrinkly old man that would've looked right at home on some coin.

"Wally!" Aisha exclaimed, panting and bruised, but still ready to fight. Lu clenched those giant demon fists of hers and I held my sword forward with both hands.

"Where's the el Wally?" Lu asked angrily. Wally just chuckled and put a hand on his hip.

"I'm glad you asked child." He took the hand that wasn't holding his megaphone and held it out open to the fountain in the middle of the courtyard. Suddenly a series of mechanical clicks and the sound of gears grinding heralded the fountain splitting in half, the pool of water draining down and the fountain itself shutting off. The floor split in half as well and started to come apart as a giant blue nasod rose out out the newly made opening. Wally grinned proudly. "You want your precious el? Well there it is, inside the Wally-bot GT-2!" The nasod came alive with a simple 'beep' and clicked it's claws once, testing it's joints.

"You think you can scare us with a walking trash heap? Tough luck pal!" Aisha closed her eyes in concentration. "I'll melt that bucket into the world's biggest metal blob!" She spun her staff in the air once and then pointed it at the nasod. "Gust screw!" I vortex of fire engulfed the entire nasod's body and spun. But the nasod only beeped in surprise and just....stood there. Once it was over, Aisha opened her eyes and folded her arms with a confident smirk on her face.

Then she saw that her attack had absolutely no effect.

"Fool! You've already forgotten? The Wally-bot has the el shard inside of it, powering it and completely negating any elemental based magic attacks! Not only that, but it's outer shell is made entirely of titanium! That sword and those claws won't even be able to scratch the paint off!" He shed a single tear. "It's ingenious, even for me. The ultimate weapon of mass destruction!" He pointed a finger at us. "Now Wally-bot! Show these fools what TRUE power is!" The nasod beeped in confirmation and it's single red eye started glowing. The surrounding guards all scattered and ran away, which didn't bode well for us. I just stood there, unable to move.

"Come on!" I yelled at myself in my head. "Get outta the way!" Aisha and Lu were both frozen in fear too.

So this was it.

I'm sorry.

Big sis.

I failed, I'll never-

"DEATH SENTENCE OF MARBAS!"

Suddenly a blue beam of light pointed itself at the Wally-bot from above us. Lu, Aisha and I looked back above the gate to see Ciel and Rena on top of it.

And Ciel had a massive Gatling gun with him!

He gritted his teeth and opened fire on the Wally-bot, the light coming from his gun brightening the whole courtyard as the rain came down harder. The gun was shooting so fast that the Wally-bot actually staggered and fell back a couple steps, the crater in it's chest getting deeper and deeper with each bullet Ciel fired at it. Lu, Aisha and I finally snapped out of it and charged at the thing, smashing it with everything we had. Rena joined the onslaught and started raining down arrows of green light onto the Wally-bot. The thing was getting pelted so much that it couldn't even move, it just flailed around, unable to do anything. Ciel stopped firing suddenly.

"Get out of the way!!" We all took a couple steps back as Ciel took aim at the crack that we had created that ran up and down the nasod's middle. Ciel flipped a switch on the side of him new gun and held down the trigger. The gun slowly started to glow and-

Uh oh.

"EVERYONE HIT THE DECK!"

I almost tackled Aisha out of the way as a fully charged blast obliterated the ground where she had bee standing. My ears were ringing so I just laid there for a second, a cloud of dust caused by the blast making both me and Aisha cough. The rain made short work of the dust though, so we were able to look and see the Wally-bots fate.

Dear god.

The Wally-bot was on it's back, electricity crackling all around and it's chest split wide open, like an egg almost. A faint, bluish green glow was coming from the newly created opening.

"Is that the el shard?" Rena asked, jumping and landing gracefully right behind us. We all got up as Ciel used the gate to climb down. A clap of lightning sounded as we all looked in.

It was only the size of a lunchbox.

But it was there.

"We did it! We got the el shard!" Aisha proclaimed happily. We all started celebrating until Ciel drew his usual guns and pointed one at Wally, who was cowering with a walkie-talkie behind a pillar.

"What do you mean 'I need to cash in that favor' Wally? Who are you talking to?" He asked. Wally just grinned.

"It's too late now, he's already on his way, in fact, he might already-" A cannon shot interrupted Wally as a giant airship appeared from behind him.

"Get your rock and get on board Wally, I've got things to do." A deep, almost cruel sounding voice yelled over a megaphone. Wally snickered and swiped the el shard while we were all still dumbstruck by the giant ship in the sky. Cannons fired again, this time AT us, and we all had to retreat as Wally ran safely underneath the shots. A beam of light shone down on Wally and suddenly, he was gone.

"Ah, so good of you to come my friend, you don't mind if I-" Wally started.

"YOU IDIOT, THE PA SYSTEM'S STILL ON! You, moron, shut that damn thing off!" There was a click and the voices stopped as the ship started to turn around.

"Dammit we were so close!" I clenched my fist in anger.

"Well? Come on! We gotta go after them!" Aisha exclaimed. She tried to run for the exit to the courtyard, but Ciel grabbed the back of her shirt and stopped her.

"On foot? Not happening. Besides, we're going to need a lot more firepower if we're going to take THOSE goons on." He said.

"Wait, you know those guys?" I asked.

"I know OF them, not personally though. And I think we've all at least heard of their leader."

"You're still being a little vague, who are they exactly?" Rena asked. Ciel looked down at the ground.

"Those were the Crow Mercenaries." We all gasped.

"So you know then."

"We're going to have to defeat him."

"Their leader."

"Raven."
