The park (7)

Sorry I haven't been updating as frequently lately, I had a serious case of writers block, and then when that was solved my phone broke so I couldn't write anything. However, now I'm back and so is this fanfic. ON WITH THE STORY......

Zane's pov:

It was late spring, so all around us were trees covered in cherry blossoms of a lighter shade than frosting or a strawberry milkshake. I eventually started to adapt to the sunlight as me and aphmau took a stroll through the park. I felt a calming warmth as we walked along the path. " look at all the blossom trees, they look so beautiful. *gasp* look over there Zane, BUNNIES. a whole family of them. Oh my irene there's not even a single cloud in the sky today, it's amazing!..........". Aphmau continued to go on about the scenery.

I was surprised she hadn't bought anything up about the 'incident' with Travis yet. As I thought about him, my cheeks started to heat up slightly as a small smile crept on my face. "Zane, are you okay? Your blushing". She turned to me and pointed at my cheeks. Lifting my hand up I touched the side of my face, she was right. I turned to her and shrugged to show that I had no clue why, even though I probably had a slight idea as to why I was blushing. But it couldn't be because of him....right?

Aphmau's pov

Zane just shrugged then continued to walk on. I had a feeling I should ask him more about it, but I didn't want to make a large conversation about a minor situation.

As we continued to walk along the park path, I spotted a bench sat in front of a lake. I tug Zane's arm and point to the bench. "Come on lets go feed the ducks! I bought some bread in my handbag" I said to him enthusiastically. "Sure....I guess" he replied. I heard a sigh of relief from him after that. Dragging him along with me, we headed for the bench. Sitting down I pull out the bread then passed half of it to him. He sat down with me then starts to break of crumbs and threw them at the savage ducks.

Ducks pov:

*in mind* MINE MINE MINE!!!!

Aphmau's pov:

Damn, these ducks sure can get violent. I decided to try and start a conversation with Zane, I hadn't really seen him for the past few days so it could be nice to catch up (even if he was just cooped up in his house for the whole time). "Soooo zane, anything new happen lately?." He stayed silent, seeming to be of in his own world. I looked closer at him then realised he was blushing again. Now I was getting curious. Maybe he was just hot or something, it is pretty sunny today. Nah that can't be it, who blushes when they're hot? If only I knew what went on inside that head of his.

Zane's pov:

Aphmau handed me a piece of bread as I sat down and begin to feed the ducks. Aphmau seemed to be focusing on the creatures fighting over her bread, so I decide to start daydreaming. Hmm, that's strange.... I usually have dark thoughts whenever I daydream but this time I was thinking of....vanilla? I didn't know why but the thought seemed to comfort me. Soon I started thinking about green, a colour the same as fresh grass on a warm summer day. I could feel my cheeks start to warm up again as I continued to think of these things. Suddenly, something shook me out of my dream like state. I turned to see aphmau with a concerned look on her face. "Zane, are you okay?
"Yeah" I replied " why wouldn't I be?"
"Your face has gone red again" she said pointing at me. Dammit, why do I keep doing that?! She put the back of her hand up to my forehead. "You are kind of hot, maybe your sick? Is that why you haven't been out much lately?" She asked. I nodded slightly, that was at least half the reason. "Well at least you got some fresh air. Come on, lets go back to your place. We can make cupcakes!" She said while giggling like a five year old. We got of the bench and headed back to my place. I'm glad I avoided that awkward conversation I was dreading, but it can't stay hidden forever.
