Two years earlier in middle school:
I heard my mother yell from downstairs "Honey hurry up we are gonna be late to dinner remember this is important." I yell back "Coming mom" an walk down the stairs in my best clothes she hurries me out the door and she gets in the front passenger seat and I get in the back seat my father in front, we leave the driveway and as we start to drive down the road my father says "Alex I'm warning you don't do any of your gay crap at this dinner got it!" I look baffled and say "How the hell am I supposed to not do something when being gay is who I am dad why do you have to be such a homophobe..." He turns his head to look at me and then I hear my mother yell and then my head starts to hurt and I black out I wake up an hour later to find my mother pinned under the car and I immediately call the police then I feel blood dripping from my skull and black out again I wake up a week later with bandages around my head and I'm told my mother has lost the usage of her legs and that my father has died and I feel tears stream down my face and now here we are.....
