*You choose VENTURE THROUGH THE TUNNEL
Staring at the tunnel, your curiosity gains the better of you. Carefully, you pick up the lantern off of the ground as you get to your feet. slowly starting to make your way towards the tunnel entrance. You can feel your heart pounding against your rib cage with every cautious, shaking step you take. Getting closer and closer to the dark, gaping hole in the wall. You're only a few steps away from it now. You can feel the anxiety rising up in your chest. Bubbling up in your throat. Cutting off your shaking, heaving breaths. You close your eyes and take a deep breath. Forcing the anxiousness down. The look on your face showing little to no emotion as you carry on towards the tunnel. You can feel it now. The cold, damp darkness of the tunnel reaching out towards you. Attempting to pull you in.
You peer around the corner. Your entire body shivering from the eerie cold the tunnel gives off. As you peer into the shadows, you start making out the features of the tunnel. The high, stone walls are embedded with little, glowing crystals of all different shades of blue. Their soft, warm glimmer glinting through the darkness is almost welcoming to you. Almost. At the end of the tunnel, you can make out an archway. Intricately carved of some kind of purple stone. At the top of the archway, you can make out some kind of symbol etched into its surface, but just barely. Mustering up all of your courage, you step into the tunnel and begin carefully walking towards the archway at the end. As you near it, though, you begin to hear a voice. Quiet, at first, but getting louder with every step you take. It looks like you're not alone down here. You crouch beside the archway, keeping the lantern close, as you listen to the voice. It seems to be rambling on to itself.
"Well, it's not my fault we're stuck down here! You're the one who wanted to go treasure hunting! Oh, don't you dare take that tone with me! Let me remind you I'M the reason you're even alive! If it weren't for me-"
Lost in the moment, trying to get a closer look around the pillar of the archway you're cowering behind, you accidentally knock your lantern over. The already cracked glass shatters into a million tiny shards. The fire flickering out of existence. You gasp, clasping your hands over your mouth as you watch your only source of light, your only source of life, leaving you forever.
"Hello? Is anyone there!?" You hear the voice from before call, "Show yourself! I don't bite! Shush, it doesn't need to know that!"
Slowly, you stand up from where you had been crouching and creep through the archway. Curiosity gaining the better of you once more. You stick to the densest, darkest parts of the shadows as you make your way through. Surveying the room as you go. The room is large and circular in shape. Its cold, black stone walls are crumbly and broken. The same, glittering blue stones from the hallway are embedded into them. The roof of the room has cracks and breaks in it, allowing sunlight to stream through in small trickles of golden light and warmth. As you look around the room, you try to pinpoint who the voice could have came from. But, the only thing that caches your eye is a small, golden flower poking out of the stone floor.
