Chapter Five ~ Now or Never

~Nikki's P.O.V~

"Get up you lazy bum" Liv yells from beside me waking me up for god knows what reason, "We have to get ready its one in the afternoon."

"K, I'm getting up." I tell her.

As of right now we are three weeks in to the competition our moms flew back to the states and watch us from home. We share a room and I'm happy we are both still in it. Today is the day One Direction preforms and I'm actually kinda excited I still hate them Liv has just made it to where I hate them a little less. I have listened to and like a few of there songs (mostly the ones Ed wrote with or for them with exceptions to a few others).

Speaking of that I'm singing one of there songs tonight. But right now I have to get up because of the meet and greet thing with them. Yeeey -_- note the sarcasm.(A/N Sorry had to put the face in)

"Nikki come on were gonna be late." Liv yells from the door.

"I'm comin, I'm comin." I yell back grab my shoulder bag and head out the door with Liv.

We arrived at the studio and as Liv went to fan girl and get pictures and autographs I stood against the wall listening to music.

~Nialls P.O.V~

As soon as the contestants walked in me and the lads were swarmed. I looked around to the boys and gave them a questioning look and they each gave me a head shake. None of us could see the blonde we were looking for.

"Niall" Harry touched my shoulder and whispers to me "Is that her" I followed the direction of his finger and sure enough I saw my sister posted up against the wall plugged into her music. I nodded at Harry and tried to make my way over to her but I was stuck in the crowd and could not get out. So, I just kept talking to the girls and hoping she will still be there when the crowd dies down.

-Three Hours Later-

She's gone. I was so distracted that I forgot to keep an eye out to watch for her to leave. Damn it what am I going to do now . Guess I have to tell her after her performance assuming I can find her after.

~Nikkis P.O.V~

"Come on lets go" I say to Liv as she walks up to me.

"Ok just one more thing" she says as she turns on her heel and trots away.

"I'll just wait out side" I yell after her. She gives me a brief nod then proceeds to walk up to the curly haired boy.

As I sat out side waiting I decided to call my mom seeing as I haven't talked to her since she left.

"Hello." she answers on the first ring sounding very distraught.

"Hey what's wrong momma?" I ask getting a bit worried she never sounds like this unless my dad is having one of his episodes.

"Sweetie, will you sit down if you aren't already." she says scaring me more than I was before. But I do as she says and sit down on a bench near by.

"Mom what is going on." I question her again. Liv walked out right before my mother responded and sat down. She went to say some thing but I help up a finger motioning for her to be quiet.

"Well, ummm, I got a letter today" she starts and before I am able to ask from who she begins talking again. "From your, your mother." she just blurts out the words like a cannon.

"Wait what but your my mom how is that possible." I say getting a worried glance from Liv.

"Nikki we adopted you when you were born. Your originally from Ireland we were visiting one of our good friends and they knew we wanted a kid and they knew of a family that was giving you up for adoption so we adopted you." she says her voice cracking and breaking with each word she is spitting out and each one ripping my frail heart into billions of pieces. All of a sudden my life is just caving in on me and I cant breathe.
