It'd been almost six years since the demon Zordannomen was cast into the mortal realm and into Min's life, changing not only her world, but those of her friends Nemo and Basil. The four friends gathered together again to welcome little Raven Helena Zordannomen into the world.
"Oh, Min, she's so precious!" Nemo sighed longingly as she gazed at her friend from the foot of the bed.
Min beamed and almost whispered, "I know."
Nemo moved around to the side of the bed so she could better admire the baby girl now sleeping soundly in Min's arms. Sweat still glistened on Min's forehead and her thick, dark hair clung to her neck, a few strands plastered to the sides of her face. 6 hours of labor for this bundle of joy, she thought to herself. Worth every second.
"Where's Zor?" Min finally asked, glancing up at Nemo.
"I think Basil took him to get some fresh air. Last I saw, he was still shaking like a leaf and looked like he was gonna pass out," Nemo shrugged with a smile.
Min snorted softly, "Wimp."
The door clicked open slowly and Min's mother poked her head in.
"Hey," she greeted softly as she moved further into the room, letting the door shut quietly behind her.
"Hey mom," Min answered while Nemo settled for a nod.
"I'm gonna go find the boys," Nemo excused herself with a smile as Min's mom stood beside the bed.
"I can't believe she's mine," Min admitted, her eyes glued to the child she held.
"I'm a grandma," her mom said in shock, as if realizing it for the first time.
"I'm a mom," Min choked out, her hormones getting the best of her as a few tears slipped out.
Just then the door opened again and Zor nearly stumbled into the room followed closely by Nemo and Basil. His gaze immediately fell on the little bundle in Min's arms. He stared, speechless and frozen to the spot. Min looked up at him expectantly.
"Get over here, Loser," she said teasingly when he didn't move.
He blinked and slowly shuffled over to Min's side, almost as if he were in a trance. He reached out with his left hand to brush a short dark strand of hair out of the baby's face. She was sound asleep in her mother's arms.
"She- she looks just like you," he stuttered, whispering next to Min's ear.
He was afraid he'd wake the little Zordannomen from her slumber.
"Why, Damien," Min's mother spoke, still awed to think she was this precious child's grandmother, "I think she has your nose!"
"Really?" Zor asked incredulously while crossing his eyes to look at his nose.
Everyone laughed softly and Min rolled her eyes.
"What should we name her?" Min asked, looking up at Zor and raising her eyebrows.
"Hel-"
"No," Min interrupted, "I already told you I don't like the nickname you would use with that. Besides, it sounds old."
