It was a bad world in which Rosabelle lived. Suffering and torture weren't unknown to the people. Rosabelle's king wasn't a compassionate man either and believed that a life lived in poverty was a waste.

That's why, to eradicate all the penury, people who were homeless during the first week of October and April were slaughtered.

Rosabelle's whole life changed when she came home on a September morning to discover that the lady she and her family had been staying with had thrown them out. Being homeless, they had no where else to go other than her mother's employer.

With no other choice than to live with the Rowdens, Rosabelle was stuck in a situation she never wanted to be in.
