Jade POV
Today was Monday and I didn't want to go to school. I didn't want to stay home either. I mean I could stay in my room all day and never step foot outside but I had to go to school to be able to get a well paying job in the future. As I was beginning to get deeper in my thoughts,a loud beeping sound drag me back to reality. Why did I have to wake up from my peaceful sleep? I woke up took a shower and got dress into black jeans, a white top and red converse and my black jacket. After getting ready for school I skipped down the stairs into the kitchen and grab a toast and some orange juice from the fridge and toaster.
Mom:"hi sweetie" she said in a non cheering voice.
Me: "hey mom what's up?"
Mom: "you know the usual...dad getting home late,drunk of his ass and me working my butt off to pay the house bill"
Before I could answer back,I saw the monster (referring to my dad) walking down the stairs. As he come closer the room fell into a complete silent, well until he speak up.
Dad: "why is it silent all the sudden?"
Me: "cause we don't like you" I though to myself. But guess I said it at loud since I was on the floor and felt a sharp pain in my stomach which indicate that my father had kick me.
Mom: "Richard stop she's only a child" screams while pushing him back off of me.
Dad: "YOU SHUT THE HELL UP" I heard a smack more like a punch noise, and saw my mom landed on the floor than a door been slam shut.
Me: "mom" I ask her softly.
Mom: "go to school Hun I'm fine..is ur stomach okay?" Gets up.
Me: "yah I'll just head to school before he comes back and u should probably head to work" all I receive from my mom was a silent but hurtful nod. I could tell she was in pain from all the kicking and a couple of bruises she had receive from my father. As I walk to school, I plan how me and my mom will leave the house or even the country. As long were far far away from this monster.
