It was near midnight. The rain outside made an ongoing noise against the rooftop of Uncle Monty's rather large house.

The dreaded by many, Count Olaf clutched his shiny, silver knife. The knife glistened against the light of the lightning streak outside the window. He slowly walked into the Reptile Room, where his victim was, as calm as possible, feeding all his beloved reptiles. With every step, his heart rate grew faster, and faster, as if, it would give out any minute now. But it continued to beat, as he got to the bottom of the stairs and quietly opened the door of the Reptile Room. Luckily for Olaf, the door opened without a sound of any sort, and if it did, poor helpless Uncle Monty was too busy gently stroking the incredibly deadly viper to notice.

The ruthless Count crept into the room, quietly closing the door behind him. He sneaked behind the dear Uncle Monty, about to take action, when he realized in pain, that two front teeth had pierced the eye in his left ankle. He grabbed his ankle in pain, dropping his knife on the ground as he scolded the small infant that had hurt him.

"Ouch Sunny! Stupid orphan!" Before Olaf could grab his knife back, Sunny grabbed it between her useful teeth as Klaus grabbed a book Uncle Monty had and hit Olaf unconscious with it. Violet quickly turned on the lights and ran towards her heroic and brilliant siblings.

"I knew Stephano or rather Count Olaf would pull a stunt like this! It's a good thing we arrived just in time. Remember Olaf, you may be brilliant, but my sibling and I are ten times smarter and more clever than you." Violet exclaimed, knowing the count could not hear her speaking,"Uncle Monty, what are we to do now?"

"Now we call Mr. Poe." Uncle Monty exclaimed, shivering because he almost died," I can't seem to thank you Baudelaires enough for saving my life. You kids are brilliant, even though your brilliance isn't appreciated enough throughout the entire series." He looked at the troubled orphans gratefully.

"Thank you kindly, Uncle Monty. However, we can't call stupid Mr. Poe." said Klaus,"When has he ever helped us escape from Count Olaf clutches? Well, unless you count coughing into a handkerchief helplessly while that stupid count gets away after murder after murder!"

"Good point." Violet, Uncle Monty, and Sunny agreed. Violet, remembering that there had been a telephone in the kitchen, quickly ran there to call the police. Meanwhile, Klaus, Sunny and Uncle Monty were in the Reptile room, trying to lock Count into an extra snake cage, without a snake of course, they loved the snakes too much to do that to them. Violet rushed back into the room, announcing that the police had arrived.

Pretty soon, Count Olaf had regained some of his consciousness. He blinked once. Then two more times, confused.

"Where am I?" he asked wearily.

"Your about to go to prison you filthy cakesniffer." Klaus shouted.

"Meeka." Sunny agreed. The three orphans greeted the police at the door.

"It was him! Count Olaf! Lock him up!" Violet exclaimed frantically.

"My sister is right! Lock this dangerous villain up before he can hurt anyone else!"

"Me? A dangerous villain? I'm afraid your wrong children. I am merely Stephano, I'm assisting your uncle on his journey to Peru, orphans, I hardly think the police had to get involved."
