So I know this is late so it probably doesn't count anymore but imma post it anyways. I drew a crappy Visayan deer. Bubbly-Wolf  came up with this great idea for the Endangered Species Day which was on the 20th of May. I got the letter V so did some research and came across the Visayan (spotted) deer.

Here's some hopefully interesting information about the species;
The Visayan spotted deer is also known as the Philippine spotted deer and comes from the Visayan Islands in the Philippines. They're an endangered species listed as critical with about 2500 remaining in the wild (which is not a lot by the way), but progress has been made. A large portion of their natural habitat has been removed for logging purposes, decreasing its food sources. This particular species of deer is also a heavily hunted one. Their diet consists mostly of low vegetation of the dense forests they live in and on rugged slopes, but have also been found in open grasslands.
The Visayan Deers have spots in adulthood as well as when they're young, unlike other species of deer. They're small and short-legged with very dark-brown (sometimes with reddish in some places) fur and white spots. They're insides of their legs are a cream colour as well as the underside of their short tail and their underbelly. They have quite a pointed head with a quite dark face. Males grow antlers about 25cm long after their first birthday. In captivity they can live up to 20 years. Did I mention they're nocturnal?

Head and body length: 128 cm
Shoulder height: 64-77 cm
Tail length: 9-12 cm
Weight: 55- 180 pounds (25-81 kg)

Sorry I can't be bothered listing my references 😁
(I definitely used a reference pic btw)
