This is my first time at wrighting fanfiction so tell me what you think.
Jack P.O.V:
I looked at the solid brick wall and then back at North uncertainly.
“Don’t worry Jack, wall is perfectly safe.” My adoptive father said in a thick Russian accent. Before I could argue he pushed me forwards and I braced myself for the crash. When nothing happened I opened my eyes and found my self in a busy train station. I turned around just in time to see North appear behind me.
“Are you ready Jack?” I nodded in reply.
“I’ll see you at in the Christmas holidays right?” I asked him. My stomach was getting queasy.
“Of course. I will wait for you to return.”
I gave him a big hug and went to get on the train. I sat down in the first empty compartment I could find. I looked out the window for North and saw that his friends Tooth, Bunny and Sandy had joined him. North, tooth and sandy waved excitedly and Bunny gave what looked like a noncommittal grunt, we weren’t exactly on the best of terms ever since I hit him in the face with a snowball I had created in mid July. I waved back.
Soon the train started to leave and I caught my last glimpse of my family before they disappeared. We had only been moving for about a minute when there was a knock at the compartment door. I looked up to see a scrawny looking brown haired boy. He opened the door and stuck his head through.
“Um, sorry, but would it be ok if I sat in here? Everyone in all the other compartments knows each other all ready.”
“Yeah ok.” He came in hurriedly and muttered something about thanks and sat down. We sat in awkward silence for a while so I decided to say something.
“My name is Jack Overland Frost. How about you?” The boy seemed surprised that I had finally said something.
“Oh, um, I’m…” He mumbled something under his breath.
“Sorry I didn’t quite get that.”
“Hiccup. My name is Hiccup.” Oh, I could see why he was embarrassed.
“That’s a cool name.” I said. I felt kind of sorry for him.
“You really think so?” He said perking up a bit, “I like your hair.”
“Oh right, thanks” I said running a hand through aforementioned hair. It often drew people’s attention, as it was a brilliant shade of pure white.
We started talking. Hiccup seemed like a really cool guy. He told me he came from a tribe of Vikings, which seemed odd for someone so skinny. We were already good friends by the time the trolley came. I offered to pay and went out to by some stuff. North had all ready given me lots of wizard money and so I got us quite the feast. I was just turning round to go back to our carriage when I wacked strait into someone causing me to fall on top of them, sending us both toppling.
I opened my eyes and saw that I was staring back at one of the most beautiful girls I had ever seen. She had the biggest green eyes and long golden hair, which seemed to go down to her waist. I was just about to say something when a strong hand pulled me up by the collar. I turned around to see a fierce looking girl with mad curly red hair.
“Mind where ya goin’ in tha future, someone could get hurt. Most likely you if ya ever do it again.” She hand a thick Scottish accent, her hands were balled up in fists.
I burst out laughing. “Is that a threat?”
The laughing didn’t help she became even more hostile.
“Darn right it was.”
“Look her reddy-”
“What did ya just call me-”
“Merida, I’m fine. Put him down.” It was the girl with the golden hair. The redhead, who I’m guessing was Merida, looked between Blondie and me before sighing and reluctantly putting me back down.
“Ya better watch ya back in the future, sonny.” Merida glowered at me.
“Sure thing.” I said smirking. I tried to catch Blondie’s eye but she ignored me and stalked off with her arm linked with the redhead’s.
I gathered up the sweets I had bought and walked back to the compartment.
“What took you so long?” Hiccup asked.
“Just ran into some trouble. Don’t ask.” It was starting to get dark so we changed into our school robes.
We talked a bit more before the train started to slow down and eventually stopped. We all got off; there was a massive man with a big black beard calling for the first years. I could see the fiery top of the Merida girl’s head next to her beautiful friend. I dragged Hiccup over so we could get in the same boat as them. He didn’t seem to mind, just kept staring at redhead. She didn’t seem to pleased but her friend told her to shush.
The boats rounded a corner and we got an amazing view of a splendid castle on top of a mountain.
“That my lads,” the massive man boomed from the boat just in front of them, “Is Hogwarts.”
