She Lies (Discontinued)

I : A Sudden Call

The clock struck 11pm one night in the batcave where Robin was dusting the trophies Batman won on the shelves. He has been doing this since 6pm and had cleaned 50 out of the 500 trophies in the room. Batman, in the other hand, was checking on his conputer incase they get a call from the watch tower. Exhausted, Robin fell off the ladder on purpose and rested on the ground making a sound that seemed to be an iron bucket has fallen. Batman left the computer he has been staring at for 5 hours and checked the trophy room. There, he saw Robin resting on the floor with the duster in his head, "Robin." said Batman in an emotionless way, "Get back to cleaning." Robin has fallen asleep and did not answer. "Go back to your work!" Batman said leaving the room with no care.

There are times Batman really makes Robin maid to clean the place whenever Alfred was on vacation. These times are like tonight. Obviously, Robin does not like it. There are times he wishes to leave the batcave and make another group. There are times he wanted to leave the Justice League. These thoughts he never told and knew it will never happen.

One time he tried to leave the cave when Batman was asleep, he slowly made his way towards the door with all his things packed up. He thought he was successful until Batman woke up. "Go to bed!" Batman said strictly pointing at Robin's bed. Robin, in the other hand, did not want to fight back.

Robin dreamt of this in his sleep and this is considered one of his nightmares. There will always be a day in a week where he will dream of Batman locking him up in Arkham but another dream comes when Batman lets him go and he forms a so-called group Teen Titans (since Teen Titans isn't part of this story, they will not be talked about) That was a dream he would always wish to come true. He wished it will be a better team than the Justice League for he really wished Batman will loose his reputation as a good hero. Robin just thinks emotionless people are stupid people who have to be locked in Arkham. Obviously, he never told Batman about all of this nor said them out loud to himself. Batman does not know about any of this.

Suddenly, Robin woke up as the clock stoke 12mn. There, he woke up seeing the duster filled with dust on his head making it hard to breathe. He removed it on his head and saw Batman looking at him with a face meaning, "You are in big trouble, Robin." As Robin was catching his breath, he thought he was in huge trouble again for he hasn't finished dusting the trophies, "Sorry, Batman, I-"

Robin was cut off, "Martian Manhunter is calling us to the watch tower." Batman pulled his sidekick in the batship off to the watch tower.

A few minutes later, they finally reached the tower in space. There, they saw some of the Lantern Corps
and a few of the Justice League as well. They looked at the two with the expresion that they have been waiting for ages. Finally, Martian Manhunter stood up from his seat and pointed at a grayish planet on his screen, "Here is an unknown planet that has been founded beyond Pluto." says Martian Manhunter, "Little is known about this planet and this is the first time it has appeared in the Milky Way."

"Probably it has been there before." says Hal Jordan coming closer to the screen, "I guess it has been hiding itself for a long time."

"It must have been mistaken for an asteroid." said Manhunter roaming around the front a bit.

"But how can it be an asteroid?" questioned Robin, "It's not even in the asteroid belt!"

"Robin, there are asteroids outside the asteroid belt." Batman said as if he is always right.

Robin facepalmed and sighed, "Huh..."

"We must visit this space rock to see if it's an actual planet or not." said Manhunter somehow ignoring Robin's question, "Will it be safe, Hal?"

"I never been there so we must be careful." says Hal, "It is never always safe in space."

"Hal's right! We need to make sure the blasters are working." says Batman then turned to his ship.

Robin was under the wings, "I think we need new ones!" he said as the wing fell on his head, "Ow.."

Batman just made a silent but "annoyed" sound, "Where can we get blasters?"

"I got mine from some frog... It's really weird, indeed." says Hal, "You have to go back on earth to find him, though."

"Nevermind." said Batman entering his ship, "Come on, Robin."

Robin entered the ship. "Those with no ship can ride in mine." said Manhunter.

"I would love to ride but I can fly my way there, instead." said Star Sapphire, "I'm sure more people need it more than I do."

"Well, then," said Manhunter, "So only Flash and I?"

"Yes!" Flash said fast running to the ship, "Come on, what are you waiting for?"

Manhunter boarded his space ship and all left at the exact same time to the unknown planet beyond Pluto with the ship of Martian Manhunter leading the way.

Okay, that's the first chapter and SORRY for repeating so many names -_- I sometimes have no other way of saying things.

What I wanted to say is that I might have rushed the plot a bit and I was doing my best NOT TO. Also, this is less than 1k words. It is sometimes so hard to write...

If there is anything unclear, let me know so I could probably make a small chapter about it AFTER this story has been completed.
