Marinette ~
I walk into our school gym for last period: sport. Spotting Alya I make my way towards her. I strain to keep myself from fangirling on the spot when I walk past Nino and Adrien and he smiles at me. Adrien looks flawless (as always) with his perfect teeth and welcoming green eyes. I'm captured by his pale tan complexion and brushed blonde hair. God. He's hot.
After gawking for a good few seconds I continue to the back of the volleyball court. There I'm greeted by Alya and her kind words, "You look like crap today! Didn't you get any sleep?"
Snapped out of my entrancement I answer. "Thanks. I did try to get sleep but... well I've just been up late studying," I lie, trying to avoid telling her about Adrien and Chat and my current dilemma.
Alya still surprisingly hasn't figured out I'm Ladybug yet. It's kind of ironic don't you think? Possibly the biggest Ladybug fan doesn't even realise her best friend is indeed Ladybug? I chuckle inwardly as I inadvertently ignore something Alya's ranting about. Probably something small and almost meaningless.
Alya has a tendency to make things bigger issues than they are. It's one of her biggest flaws but can also be amusing at times. Once she complained for almost a whole lesson about her new pen running out of ink after only a few days use. Hearing her criticise an entire industry can be quite entertaining. As our sport teacher weaves around the groups of chatting teenagers, I notice she's giving people numbers for randomised groups. I'm labelled a 3 but Alya's a 4. There seem to be 5 people in each group and I wonder who I'll be in a group with. I line up behind the cone with the Roman numerals III, Max and Juleka standing behind me. I'm satisfied with my team members until I notice Chloé (basically Satan) and Sabrina (Satan's sidekick) hesitantly walking towards me and I huff in annoyance. Chloé pushes in front of me, obviously taking initiative and the role of team captain. I submissively back down not bothering to stand up to her. Last time I did that I ended up in the Principal's office with her threatening to call her dad - the mayor.
I stand there miserably and watch as Ms walks towards our group. She stops for a moment, analysing our members. "Hmm. I think this group has too many girls. Let's balance this out. Adrien!" She calls turning around, "please swap with Chloé."
You're kidding me right!? The best possible outcome! No Chloé plus Adrien! Butterflies swarm in my stomach as Adrien saunters towards cone no. 3. Ms nods her head satisfied as Chloé angrily stomps away.Ms announces we are playing volleyball and recaps on the rules for those who may have forgotten. She also explains that group 4 will be playing against group 3 and group 2 against group 1. That means I, Juleka, ADRIEN, Max and Sabrina will be going head to head with Alya, Chloé, Kim, Rose and Nathanaël.
Round 1: Chloé broke her nail and demanded she sit out for the rest of the game. Unfortunately she "needed" Sabrina (who is surprisingly good at volleyball) to sit out with her. We're winning 6-2.
Round 2: Juleka twists her ankle and has to sit out. They're catching up to us; 10-8.
Round 3: I somehow manage to get hit in the face with the ball, embarrassing myself in front of the whole class AND Adrien. They also manage to win, 11-13.
What a great game I sarcastically think to myself as I make my way to the office for an ice pack. Along the way I stop at the bathroom to check my face out. In the mirror I notice a small bruise appearing underneath my left eye. I poke it lightly with my finger experimentally, wincing from the soreness of the sensitive area.
Leaving the bathroom I almost run into someone... Adrien!
"Hey," he says empathetically, "you played really well. I just wanted to check to see if you were alright." He raises his arm and places his warm hand against my cheek. The same butterflies from earlier today return inside my stomach, swarming stronger than before. I make no effort to move his hand before I acknowledge his kindness, "Oh, thank you, I-I'm okay now. You played r-really well as well." He gently holds my cheek for a few seconds before slowly dropping his hand back beside his body. He softly clears his throat and attempts to apologise, "I'm sorry... yeah... if... umm... yeah." I quickly drop my gaze,"Its... it's okay..."
He nods uncertainly and I repeat the gesture back to him. Then we awkwardly part and walk our seperate ways.Sitting in the sick bay with an ice pack pressed to my bruised eye I look back on that awkward but magical moment when I felt Adrien's soft hand upon my cheek. I begin to smile giddily before the nurse walks into the room. "You should probably go home and have a rest but keep the ice on your eye," she suggests. She excuses herself from the room to allow me to call my mother to pick me up.

I see mum's car pull up and I move towards it. Stepping into the car I quickly put on the radio to distract my mother in an attempt to not talk about today. Me getting hit was not that embarrassing by itself but with everything that's happened all day I just want to lie in bed.
Once we get home I clamber up my stairs, walk into my room and plonk myself down onto my soft mattress. After the exhausting day I'd had I wasn't surprised that I had fallen asleep in minutes. So this was a much longer chapter than the first one. Hopefully all chapters will be this long - (probably not lol) and hopefully better because right now it's 1:35 am and I can't really think straight.
