Malana stretched over to the rusty leaves, they were all bundled up in a messy pile. She bared her sharp teeth and caught some leaves in her mouth. She tried to wrap the leaves around her injured paw, fascinatingly it worked! She jumped up and began trotting around the forest, she could see the poachers foot prints in the slimy mud. It began raining heavily and the foot prints were fading away. Malana growled viciously. Although the poachers that had took Malana's family were watching her... Sleeping darts aiming at her... Mark, who was a poacher looked at David.
"How we gonna catch her, David?" Mark asked. "She's a beauty... Just what Mr. Stock needs for his zoo."
"We'll get 'er, she's ours now..." David grinned evilly, he took a step but stood on a stick. Malana turned around and saw Mark and David. Mark looked horrified, he was practically wetting himself. David sniggered and thought he was tough. "Come here, kitty kitty. There's a good kitty-Kat!" He called. Malana looked at him and started walking slowly towards him, under his 'Kitty-Kat' spell. Mark hid behind a tree, shaking but David was too busy calling Malana to notice poor Mark. Mark's blonde hair was plastered to his forehead, his glasses were falling off his sweaty face. David had put the sleeping dart in his back pocket before he had stupidly stepped on that stick. Malana was still entranced and was getting closer and closer to him. David had all eyes on Malana, who was 1 meter away from him. He silently reached into his back pocket hoping to grab the sleeping darts and shoot Malana with them. But he was too late... Malana saw him and pounced on him. Mark was shouting at Malana. "HERE, KITTY KITTY! NICE KITTY, GOOD KITTY!" Malana glared at Mark, he was a caring man yet she didn't know what he would do for money. She walked over to Mark, fearless. Mark still had his sleeping darts in his clammy hand, Malana looked at him with her beautiful, shimmering light blue eyes. Then he shot her...

Malana fell onto the floor, David stood up and whacked Mark hard on the back in a friend way. Mark was shaking, still couldn't believe what he had just done. "Good job Mark!" David said, putting Malana in a sack with holes in it.
"Y-yeah..." stammered Mark, his voice had gone high and squeaky.

They walked back to David's van and drove away. Mark gazed out of the window, his eyes stung with tears. Two hours later they arrived at Mr. Stocks zoo. It was crammed of wild animals which were behind bars.
