"Until next time." Those last three words rang in his head. His right index finger pressed the left key on his computer. A smooth, chill beat pinged off the four walls surrounding him. The lyrics he had written down were about his encounter with the foreign woman he had met earlier at the train station.Joji was in a slump. He was having trouble writing decent lyrics but she helped him come out of it. "I need to see her again..." He ran his hands through his hair. He clicked record and began rapping and singing from his notebook. Playing it back, Joji was satisfied with the outcome but struggled thinking of a name. "Until Next Time!" He smiled and typed in the title and posted it to his soundcloud.
The likes blew up, people were going crazy over the new song. People loved it. Joji went to Twitter to express his joy:
"Thank you all for the crazy support for "Until Next Time!" Huge thanks to my inspiration😘!Joji looked out the window reminiscing about the beautiful young woman he met that day. He wondered when he'd be able to see her again, he wondered if he'd be able to thank her for helping him out of his artistic slump. He owed her everything.
Joji had to catch the train the next day. Hoping he'd see the young lady from yesterday, he heard the soft sweet humming come from behind. He turned to see the same woman from yesterday.
"Hey!" Joji waved to her with a huge smile on his face. She jolted in surprise and waved back. He thought about how had just met her and that it was insane to feel a sense of need toward her. Was it just lust? Was it love? Joji couldn't differentiate the two. A light tap on the shoulder could be felt and Joji snapped right out of his deep thoughts. "How've you been?"(Y/N) smiled a soft kind smile at him. "Good! Would you like to grab a coffee with me?" Joji eagerly agreed to go to a nearby café ditching the train station.
The café door dinged when you opened it, the ringing of the petite bell pinged off the walls of the coffee shop. "So, what brings you to Japan?" The two young adults walked to a table for two perfectly seated in the corner away from everyone else but still in front of the big beautiful bright window letting in the beautiful noon sun.
"My dad is the ceo of a huge enterprise. He had sent me here to look over the Japanese branch of the company. But of course I wanted to sightsee as well." Taking a sip from his coffee he admired her shiny hair and perfectly plucked eyebrows. "Well, that's cool! How long are you staying in Japan for?"
"I'm staying here for about two more weeks then back off to Chicago where I await an arranged marriage." Joji breathed in his coffee and began coughing. "Are you alright?!" She smiled with concern. Her genuine concern for his health made him smile in return with gratitude. "Yeah, just was surprised."
"I want to fall in love. Just not with him. He's a good guy but he's not my type, he will never be my type." Joji had a gut feeling to ask her out and totally disregard her engagement but something told him to wait until she felt something for him.
