I was right obviously last night was chicken and rice but this morning we can't eat it will ruin the ceremony when I wake up my blue suit red tie and red pocket square are hanging neatly off my dresser I jump out of bed and brush my teeth and shower twice to make sure I'm clean then I neatly put my suit on. I walk downstairs my mother, father and twenty year old brother are waiting for me he's going to his ceremony today too were he will meet his wife and her family they will get married in twelve days but his ceremony is after mine we all says in unisons "happy birthday" then we rush out the door into fathers expensive car and drive to gorger building otherwise know as decision.
We walk through the doors and I hug my brother then my mother then for the first time in my life my father they take their seats then I go sit in me designated spot and wait. The ceremony is seven hours the first four hours are about learning again how are great world was created the lady says " 101 years ago our founders" every time our founders is said you must say a little prayer it goes like this " founders we thank you for discovery, for discovering that creativity, (we all whisper, the sin of the world) is what divided us .............. We thank you for being born, for living long enough so that you may discover..............founders we thank you for you rule that govern us................"
The lady continues " learned the truth, God told them the truth and they rallied up enough followers to overthrow the government and enforce the cure to creativity and emotions" then she tells us about evolution and three and a half ours later she tells us we can see our family and our old friends before evaluation the minute she says ' old friends' I remember Paige and lily in there white dresses they both had curly brown Afros and dark skin their eyes were one blue one teal, they were twins.
I walk up to my parents and hug them all my whole family is here and we ketch up on me after that I walk around and look for lily and Paige then all of a sudden he hears his name " maxwell corsage" coming from two beautiful voices he turns and sees them lily is wearing a blue dress the same colour as his suit and Red shoes. Paige is wearing the same thing but opposite colours " Paige and lily montono, you two look good" I say they both giggle in a cute way and catch up about there lives for the past 3 years.
The lady returns to centre stage and everyone quiets down and sits back in there spots I say bye to lily and Paige then sit back down then the lady says " look under your seats for ur choosing room information then walk to ur rooms line by line" we all reach under our seats and read the papers mine says:
Maxwell Corsage, room 409, protector Emily Smith, stamp of approval
Under the words stamp of approval there is a box, we all stand up and line by line and walk to our rooms there waiting for me is a man dressed in all white which means he is of pure essence or in other words more important that anyone else. He leads me to another room and gestures to a white nightgown then leaves the room
I take off my clothes and place on the white gown then walk into the room, there she is waiting for me the whole room is white even her outfit even her hair she asks me a ton of questions about my academics then out of the blue she asks " do you love anyone" my mind goes to a picture of lily but when I blink it's gone, before I can answer she says " other than family please" " no" I say almost shouting. I don't remember my brother telling me anything about them asking about emotions maybe the laws have changed, then she goes back to boring questions about family life and school.
Finally I can breath, a deep breath I'm out its over I'll be learn my entire life destiny in six days or one week then I'll continue school get married have my designated amount of children have a job and die with my wife, I walk to the little changing room put on my suit then wait in the hall like all the other kids. Leo waves to me and I wave back then I look to where jake is and he's not there then I realize he's probably just having accent surgery then I hear a scream from that room every year this happens the have to lock at least one person up because they believe in creativity I just though jake it wouldn't be my designated friend.
