"Your first assignment is a creative writing piece, preferably a story that should feature something to do with a woman with looks to die for." Miss Singh sighed. "You have 1 hour and 30 minutes. Begin."
Oh boy this was going to be easy. I put my pen to paper and looked around me. She was sat there. Her long brown hair braided into one loose braid. Baby hairs slung across her forehead like they had permission, and her skin looked like golden silk. Velvet even. Her brown eyes glittered with the reflection of the white paper bouncing of them. She looked up and I was too engrossed in my thoughts to realise she was looking at me.
Cheeks heated, I quickly looked down onto my paper and got brain block. She was everything.
Brianna Andrews. Commonly referred to as Brie Andy - the schools sweetest girl. She was popular, but not the popular that's cheerleader popular. She's friends with the cheerleaders of course - who wouldn't be if you could? The girl that I am most deeply infatuated with. She was everything.
I shook my head sharply and sighed.
Get a grip Jason.
Obviously as you're average love story goes, I have no chance with her. She's a 10 and I'm a strong 4. My short, messy brown hair is racked in all directions on the top of my head - I don't bother much about it, though I should. I train at the gym, but tend to wear baggy jumpers with no designer brands, and track suit bottoms. I don't care about my appearance then complain that I don't have Brie.
I put pen to paper and wrote about her. I looked up again and saw her looking out the window, the sun making her deep brown eyes as vivid as the sunset. The subtleness of her calm, tranquil eyes looked like the untouched sea, driving me crazy.
"Jason why is nothing on your paper yet?" Miss Singh said, looking at my paper. I snapped into reality and apologised. "Get something done sweetheart." She said smiling sadly.
I sighed and put my head on the desk. Come on Jason. In put my pen to paper for the 3rd time and started to write about a woman with looks to die for. Brianna Andrews.

"And your time is up." Miss Singh said. The room erupted in quiet sighs and silent mutters. "Please remain silent until I collect up your assignments."
She walked around desks and picked up each persons assignments.
"Good going sweet. Thanks for writing something. I enjoy reading your creative writing pieces, you have an incredible talent." Miss Singh said smiling at me.
"Thank you Miss." I said smiling.
She nodded her head and walked away from me, still collecting in papers. I sighed and put my head on the desk.
"Okay. You're dismissed. Thank you."
The class emptied and I felt a delicate tap on my shoulder. I turned around to see no other than Brianna Andrews looking at me.
"Hey. Sorry, erm, do I have something on my face?" She asked, insecure.
Only beauty richer than the Taj Mahal.
"Erm. Er. Sorry?" I said, words not coming from my mouth.
"Do I have something on my face?" She giggled.
"No...?" I said, nervous. "Why would you think that?"
"You keep looking over at me. I just -"
"No haha, sorry I was looking at the wall behind you. On the left of you, you know the display board?" I stuttered.
"Oh right. Haha okay." She said and walked away.
Stop her and speak to her! I urged myself.
"Of course you're gonna let her get away." I heard a deep voice say behind me, and a heavy hand clamping my shoulder.
"Leave me alone man, you know it's impossible for me to speak to her properly." I said brushing the hand off of my shoulder. I turned to see my best friend since I was 8 years old in front of me, looking at me apologetically. "Jake."
"Jase."
"Stop it." I said, making my way to the end of the corridor so I could make it to my next lesson. I had biology and Brie was in my lesson yet again. The thing with me and her is that when it comes to speaking we're okay. We don't talk to each other unless it's super necessary or if it's something important. Obviously when I say speaking for her it's a cute, fluent conversation with the nerdy boy at the back of the class room and no big deal but for me its stuttering and stumbling over words I wish I could say but I can't.
I got to my biology lesson and took my seat towards the back of the classroom, with Jake next to me. After the class had settled in, our teacher - Dr Faretti - began the lesson.
"I understand that exam season is stressful and hard, but it's a crucial time and you can't afford to be stressed. We need to tackle it in a positive way and because your biology exams are completed we're to do a mini-project until the end of the semester. As a well done and chill congratulations." He said, smiling. Dr Faretti was the schools most loved teacher. He was that strict yet loving kind of teacher that looked at you like his own kid.
"So for this assignment we're going to need to get into pairs." He announced, erupting the entire class in excited murmurs mostly sounding like 'me and you' and 'you and me'.
"But I'm gonna switch things up a little. I'm tired of seeing you all run into the same pairs that I've been seeing for the past few years. Write your name on the sticky-note in front of you, and fold it into a little piece. I'll come round and collect them and we're choosing out of a hat."
The class then erupted in heavy sighs and groans.
I wrote my name quickly and folded the piece of paper in half and half again.
"Dude, you're gonna jizz so hard if you get paired with Brianna." Jake whispered and laughed. I rolled my eyes and shook my head.
"Grow up. Don't get me started on Sasha." I said, punching his arm slightly. He glared and rolled his eyes.
"Okay." Dr Faretti said, with the names in a hate and a smile on his face.
"First pair is - Idris and Jameel!" The two boys smiled at each other and sat next to one an other. Another 5 pairs went by, and my name still hadn't been called.
"Jake and Sasha!" Faretti announced. Sasha was a really pretty, quiet girl who Jake had a major crush on. A bit like me and Brianna, Jake had visioned his future with Sasha a while ago.
"Okay, and we have..." Faretti said, opening a piece of paper and smiling. He picked out another one and smiled again.
"Jason and Brianna!"
