Amaris stared out of the window from the plane, green, thats all she seen. All of Ireland was green, ok maybe different shades, but still all green. For once since her parents had died she felt happy and free. After having to plan everything for their funeral and the difficult decision to sell her childhood home she deserved this feeling and nothing could bring her down.
Just then turbulence hit making her clutch the seat in fright, ok except maybe that. First time being on a plane and afraid of heights could defiantly take anyones happy feeling away. She sent a prayer to any god that was listening to not let her die before her life truly began. The captain came over the intercom "Ladies and gentlemen please fasten your seat belts and we make our decent to the Dublin airport, thank you for flying with us." Amaris let out a sigh of relief as she felt the plane slowly start to lower towards the ground.
"Im never flying again" Amaris mumbled to herself and she got off the plane. "Ill drive or take a boat."
As she got out of the airport she breathed in the fresh Irish air then coughed, to much fresh air. Glancing around, Dublin looked like a nice place even if she just had seen it from the airport. Sighing out she made her way to rent a car because there was no way she was having a cab drive her from Dublin to the Newgrande lodge.
Amaris drove the little black Volkswagen beetle down the road passing small houses on big lots of farm land, castles and ruins of castle, it felt a little magical to her. She had loved castle, the hidden rooms, the spaciousness of some of the rooms, oh and the ballrooms or the libraries, those were the best. So many books about so many things from a different time period then now and a different writing style, she loved every bit of it.
Finally reach the Newgrange Lodge Amaris seen a map of County Meath hanging over the check in desk showing different castle and other points of interest, the was also a suit of armor in one of the corners, jewelry behind glass cases and a trinity symbol on the floor. She taped the service bell on the desk and a gentleman dressed in a dark gray suit came from the back.
"My name is Mr. O'Leary how can i help you" he said smiling.
"Mm, i need to rent a room for about a week if that is at all possible?" Amaris asked, she really disliked talking to people.
"Of course" he typed away on his computer then glanced up at Amaris. "Ok so we have a queen bed, a room with 2 twin beds and the king suite is open, which do you prefer?"
"The king suite if you will"
"Ok thatll be 1046.82 in American dollars" he said smiling. Amaris passed him her card, she had quite a bit of money from her saving it, selling almost everything in her house, the house itself, and the insurance policy both her parents had. She signed and he handed her her key, "you have a nice stay lassie."
"Thank you Mr. O'Leary" she replied walking away to find her room.Climbing the flight of stair she headed off down the hallway finding that her room was the last on the left, which had a great view of the courtyard. Amaris tossed he bags inside the door and collapsed onto the bed totally spent.
