Chapter 1: The Arrival

It was gorgeous day in the city. Armen and Vergil were on their way to the Kankari household to pick up the rest of the group to head over to the beach.
Armen just finished his finals for this semester in college and Vergil just finished new designs for a very high paying buyer.
The two males arrived at the Kankari household. The bluenette rang the doorbell and waited for the door to open. Upon hearing the doorbell chime, Knato had been finishing up preparing the day's meal.
"Tsurugi!"
Shouted the goddess.
"I've got it Knato."
Replied another pleasant voice. Opening the door, Vanora welcomed the two.
"Hello boys, please, come in."
Stepping to the side so the two could walk in.
"I'm sorry aunt Vanora, Eos and I were still getting ready."
Both girls were practically floating down the stairs as they left Tsurugi's room.
"No worries Tsurugi."
Smiled the young woman.
As the two boys walked in, they greeted Vanora and Armen stopped to hug Tsurugi. Vergil hugged Eos.
"Hey Kankari!"
The pinkette greeted towards Knato, while he released his hug with the blondette.
"And how are you doing today, Lil Miss?"
Vergil asked toward Eos, putting his arm around.
Armen released his hug with Tsurugi.
"So, you guys ready? Or is there some loose ends?"
The bluenette asked while placing his hands in his pockets.
"My sisters, Aria and her sister, Bremis, Ike, and Zianna are on their way to the beach. We came to make sure you guys were doing alright."
"Hello dears~"
Greeted the woman as she made her way to the main hall. The basket of food hanging from her arm, as well as her beach bag.
"I'm doing well thanks. And you?"
Winking as she pecked a kiss on Vergil's lips, she chuckled and wrapped an arm around his waist.
"We're ready. Let me get grandma. She's been trying to wake up uncle Hypnos. He's been 'napping' since he got here."
In the distance, you can hear a woman's voice and some thumping sounds. And inside that very room, Nyx had succeeded to wake the man up.
"Mom.. I'm still tired...."
The male's voice was groggy and hoarse. While the woman sighed and began to drag the male from his place on the guest bed.
"You niece and sisters are waiting. And so are those boys. Your niece's boyfriend and Eos' boyfriend."
Now that caught the male's attention and reinvigorated him.
"Then what are we waiting for mom! We've got a beach to get to!"
And with that, it was Hypnos who was dragging Nyx.
"-Otherwise we're doing fine. We'll just follow you on our chariots."
Nyx heard Knato's voice and Hypnos hurried down the steps.
"No, no. No need dear sister."
Heads turning, Hypnos grinned and waved.
"Hello ladies. Boys."
When he said boys, he sent a protective aura towards them.
"Heyo."
"Sup?"
The two boys stated after each other.
"We're fine, Mrs. Kankari."
The bluenette stated as he walked over to her.
"Okay, so let's tell you all a story."
The pinkette walked over to the couch with Eos.
"So, I was on my way to pick up Armen from his college, right? Tell me why Aria calls me and tells me that they haven't left yet. Even I left like 3 hours before she called me. Zianna got stuck in the toilet. Again."
Vergil let out a chuckle.
"How did she get stuck this time!?"
Armen asked, raising his eyebrows.
"She was using the bathroom and sipped in."
"Wasn't this the second time this week?"
"Third."
"!?"
"A lot happened while you were on campus this week."
Armen walked back over to Tsurugi, and held both her hands.
"That reminds me.
I'm so sorry that we weren't able to hang out this week.. I got caught up with finals.."
As he explained his issue to the brunette, Armen hugged her.
Vanora, Nyx, and Hypnos had their brows raised as they glanced at each other. Not understanding the story, Vanora yes, but she thought it was awful as to how this stranger fell into a toilet so many times. Reciprocating the hug, Tsurugi chuckled and pat him on the back.
"I hope you did well Armen. By the way, don't you worry about that. I have finals in a week or so. I'll be locked up in this house until my exams are finished. I'm studying here and there, but after this weekend I will also be away at the University and in my apartment up there. I'm going to be studying until I start speaking in whatever subject I'm studying for."
Reassured the brunette.
"So you should expect to see me a lot thinner. But feel free, all of you, to visit."
"She's lying guys! She'll bite you if you bother her! Miss valedictorian."
Eos shoulder bumped the brunette.
"Hey, hey, I only have a year left. And I really hope Zianna is okay. Mom's going to spoil that kit rotten. I swear."
Tsurugi was quick to change the subject while the rest of her family began packing up.
Vergil stood up off the couch.
His phone began to ring in his pocket.
"Hey look. It's Aria."
The pinkette answered the phone and put it on speaker.
"Yellow?"
"Vergil, where you be at?"
"Kankari's. Why?"
"We might be late."
"What did you do this time?"
"Zianna bit Jade. We had to take her to the emergency room..
"Oh. My God. Why? Just.. Why?"
"Zianna didn't know! Jade tried to pet her and she got defensive!"
"I swear, that fox is gonna make me have grey hair.."
"Shut up, doofus. Anyway, we might be late."
"Wait, why are you eat the emergency room? It was a simple bite."
"Zianna's bites contain acid. Remember?"
"Oh yeah. Hehe.."
"Anyway, bye."
And with that Aria hung up the phone.
"What are gonna do with Zianna? She's gonna be wild at the beach."
Armen stated as leaned on the nearby wall.
"Kankari, if it's not too much trouble, could you try your best to look over Zianna while we're there today?"
Vergil asked Knato as he walked towards her.
"I'd be happy to. Does she like sweets by any chance?"
Inquired the goddess as she slowly began retreating back into the kitchen.
"And is Jade going to be alright? Does she need some anesthesia for the pain?"
"I can help with that."
Offered Hypnos, and he wasn't dozing off in this conversation for once.
"Should we meet them at the hospital instead?"
Tsurugi untangled herself from Armen and began inching towards the front door.
"Or we could save them a spot at the beach."
Eos added impatiently.
"We are up for anything dears."
Nyx stated afterwards.
"Or half and half. That way, everyone here is happy and satisfied."
Vanora reasoned.
