There was a loud thud coming from inside of my bedroom before a quick groan of frustration.

"I swear I hate math!"

"Keaton, calm down, here let me help you." Diana said as she tried to hold back her laugh. She grabbed the pencil from My hand and picked up my matchbook off of my bedroom floor. She began to show me step by step how to solve the equation, but all it did was just frustrate me more.

"Ugh, can we please just take a break? I'm tired of finding maths X" I couldn't help but shout out in frustration before pushing myself out seat and I stomp over to my bed, throwing myself onto it

"C'mon Keaton, you're almost done, let's just finish the rest"

"We can do that later, please, can't we just take a short break? I look over at Diana, she looks frustrated at me but to my surprise she just bursts out in laughter.

"What are you laughing at, huh?"

"You threw your matchbook across your bedroom, I've never seen anyone get so worked up over math"

I can't help but roll my eyes at her, but I can't help but smile after a few seconds. Diana finally stops laughing and sits at the foot of my bed.

"How long is this break of yours going to last?"

"Until I feel like looking at all these confusing numbers, since when do we start using the damn alphabet in math?" I huff out before letting out a sigh. Dina give me a small smile before crawling up next to me and lays on her stomach.

"So, Keats..." She looked at me as she said this, she spoke in a voice so quite I couldn't help but frown.

"What's wrong?" I ask sadly, I couldn't help but frown, Diana was my best friend she's never down, so this worried me a little.

She looked down at my pillow, poking at it a little before she spoke

"Wes.. Your brother, he broke up with me this morning.."

"What?!" I shot right up, sitting up to look at her, "why would he, you guys seemed like you were doing just fine!"

She shook her head at me and I saw a few a few tears begin to slip from her eyes, I watched them roll from her cheeks. That's when I reached a hand out and wiped away a tear or two before speaking quietly

"C'mere.." I opened my arms up for her and she didn't hesitate to bury herself right in between my arms and into my chest, my arms wrapped right around her small frame and I rocked her slowly as she cried into me.

"I'll hurt him, you know that, right? I can march right into his bedroom right now and punch him square in the face" I could feel the blood rush to my face, I was furious with my brother, and let me tell you I've never ever been so mad at him in my life.

Diana looked up at me with the saddest eyes I have ever seen and shook her head

"Please don't, don't do anything like that Keats, that won't solve anything"

"But he hurt you, Diana.. I've never seen you so low" I tried to keep my voice calm but I could hear myself yelling

She just shook her head and buried we face in the space in between my neck and shoulder and she clung to me and I let her cry.

She cried for a while but she finally look up at me, the tears seemed to have stopped and she was trying to catch her breath.

"How are you feeling, Diana?" I asked her with worry in my voice but she wouldn't reply "Diana?" There was still no reply from her "that's it, he's not going to get away with this!" I felt my blood raise once more and I began to pull away from her but she wrapped her arms around my body and pulled me back to her and before I knew it, she was kissing me.
