An Introduction
"It was a stormy summer's eve..." No wait, "It was a snowy winter night, the sky black, the ground cold..." No that's crap too. Dammit I can never find a start to these things. I guess that's the curse we writers have, whatever skill level we may be at some point or another we all sit in front of a computer staring blankly into the void unable to conjure up the next sentence, or in my case the first.
I suppose introductions are necessary, my name is Steve Littleman. My best buddy is a tall raging dumbass by the name of Mike Beverlan, or Beverly to me and you. I'm your average metal head, nerdy type that works at a comic book store (nerdgasm am I right?) with no real ambition in life but to put pen to paper and write something worthwhile.
Well anyway appearance-wise I'm Hitler's wet dream; tall, shoulder length ash blonde hair and blue eyes. Also I'm a level 85 Hunter Night Elf in World of Warcraft; my D&D character Darthoare is fighting the good fight with her Paladin powers and I play pretty much any MMORPG you can name, so you know, watch out ladies.
All joking aside the information I just gave you is going to become vital in the story that lies ahead, a story of brave heroism by yours truly, a story of another world, one filled with magic and lost languages and funny short guys that look like Furbies, but more importantly this is the story of two guys trying to get home.
P.S. This is something called an Interrobang: ‽ I know right? How fucking cool is that name for a punctuation mark? It was nearly a thing but it isn't now because science and it was meant to replace?! So guess what, I'm gonna use that little bastard every chance I get.
