"What the heck?! JOAQUIN!" She shouted at him causing some people to look at them. Joaquin shushed her.
"Don't you shush me! Joaquin you have a baby! You're only 18, how are you gonna suffice for the child? And how did that happen? What did her parents say? What did YOUR parents s-..." Jenny who had been bombarding Joaquin with all her questions went silent for a moment and then realization slapped her. "What will Alex say?! We've got to tell him." She worriedly asked.
Joaquin who was petrified with question was paled with realization. "Oh no." He looked around for Alex trying to find him and when he didn't he looked back at Jenny and grabbed her hands. "Jenny, whatever you do, do not tell Alex okay? He'll hate me." He begged with sadness swimming through his eyes.
Jenny sighed. "Okay. I won't but you've got to tell him, and could you please tell me how that happened?" She asked.
Joaquin sighed too and started telling her how he came to have a baby with Rebecca. "It was more of a one night stand with her and the condom broke. I hadn't known until she called me one night crying that she was pregnant. I immediately came up to her house and her dad kinda punched me on my stomach really hard and after that horrendous moment; we sat down and we talked about it. I said I'd be glad to support the child and remember why I always came to your house and looked like I was carrying the world on my shoulders?" Joaquin asked and Jenny nodded seeming to remember those moments.
"I was working at the auto body shop downtown and boy was it tiring!" Joaquin said; laughing who found it funny but Jenny seemed to think to think otherwise as she shook his head at him. His laughter seemed to die down and had stopped at some point.
"This isn't funny, Joaquin! You have a baby at the age of 17. How are you gonna do it huh? You're juggling your responsibilities now and a baby is a BIG responsibility." Jenny scolded but after a few seconds. "But you did get some more muscle in your body." She complimented while touching his arms; Joaquin smiled but his smile had been wiped off of his face when he heard Alex call out to them. Jenny pulled her hand away from Joaquin's arm and looked to Alex; shocked.
"Hey! Why're you at the tea set isle? You gonna buy some? And why do you look like you've seen a ghost?" Alex fired questions at them and had looked back to see if there was anyone behind him. Joaquin quickly composed himself and smiled at him. "We were just walking around and talking. What did you do?" He asked. Alex frowned and nodded at him. '"I have your jacket right here. It fits you...I think?" He brought up a black leather jacket and that made Joaquin's face light like a boy on Christmas morning.
"Oh my lords. Jenny that looks so good right." Joaquin looked at Jenny who still seemed pretty surprised but she still nodded at him. Joaquin grabbed the jacket from Alex and tried it on;doing some model poses. Jenny snapped out of her shocked trance, and laughed at Joaquin and so did Alex, yet the laugh had seemed half-hearted, fake.
"Alex please buy this for me! I look so hot in this. Girls will be falling for me!" Joaquin begged. Alex shook his head at him and answered. "I'll buy it for you, but girls will definitely be falling but with your horrible face probably." Jenny amused at the snarky comment laughed but still it had seemed fake.
Joaquin pouted at Alex, who seemed pretty proud of himself with his remark, and sauntered of to the counter with the Jenny and Alex trailing behind him.
At the counter, a blonde girl who had been stationed there, stared, practically drooling at Joaquin. He smiled at her; Alex and Jenny just raised their eyebrow at her. The blonde's smile was turned into a frown after she had seen the sassiness of the two.
"You'll just be buying this jacket?" The blonde said tightly as if she was forcing it. Joaquin nodded seeming to be disturbed with the girl who was happy seconds ago. He turned to look back at the two and they were just casually texting around; he then poked Alex.
"What is it Joaquin?" Alex asked annoyed. Joaquin frowned and said. "Remember you promised to buy me a jacket?"
"Oh right, sorry." Alex apologized, fishing for his wallet in his pockets. It dawned on him that he had left his wallet at his house. "Joaquin, I left my wallet!" He said; a little furious at him because he carried him to his car without even getting the wallet. Joaquin smirked and he grabbed inside his pocket pulling out Alex's wallet. Alex gasped and yanked his wallet from Joaquin. "You stole my wallet!" He accused.
"It was on top of your drawer so I grabbed it, and voila you have your wallet right now." Joaquin proudly said. Jenny snickered at this;still looking at her phone.
Alex frowned at him. "Joaquin! You can't just keep stealing my stuff! Geez!" He slapped Joaquin's arm. "Ouch! Well it's not my fault that you leave your stuff lying around!" Joaquin countered.
The cashier girl looked weirded out with the bickering of the two boys. Jenny sighed and looked up from her phone. "This is a normal occurrence for them, don't be worried or weirded out." Jenny assured the freaked out, girl who still doubted what Jenny had said.
Sighing to himself; Alex glared at Joaquin, and turned to the cashier. "How much is the jacket?" He asked.
The cashier pointed to the screen that indicated the price. Alex nodded; opening his wallet, handing the money. The girl checked the jacket out and gave it to them which Joaquin gladly took.
"Can we go now?" Alex already irritated;asked Joaquin who was still admiring his new jacket.
Joaquin looked at Alex, amused, and nodded. Alex grabbed Joaquin and Jenny's arms and dragged them to Joaquin's car.
On their way to the parking lot, a voice called out to Alex; who stiffened and paled.
