"Alright, I'm in position" Naki said through an ear piece. "Same here" Sakura said. "Same on my end too" Sasuke said. "We're all ready!" Naruto said cheeringly. "Alright, on my mark. Three, two, one" Kakashi counted down. Naruto charged and caught the dog. "This is boring!" Naki exclaimed while pouting. The ninja team finished their mission and returned home. "How come we can't do a harder mission!" Naruto shouted at the Hokage once we entered his office. "Naruto! Don't forget your speaking to the Hokage" I bonked him on the head. "Ow! Well it's true! We're stuck with the boring ones! Can't we get at least a C-Class Mission?!" Naruto shouted at the Hokage. "Hmm, well if you want it so much here. You will be assigned to transport the bridge builder to the Land of the Waves" "Really?!" Naruto shouted with a large smile. "You got to be kidding me.." Sakura and I groaned. Just then an old guy with an empty glass bottle entered. "Huh? Are these the brats who are going to guard me? Heh, the short one looks stupid" He chuckled. "Haha I wonder who's the shortest one!" Naruto laughed. We all lined up and saw he was the shortest. "Why I oughta! Let me at him!" Naruto shouted. "No, we are supposed to guard him, not hurt him" Kakashi held Naruto back. I face palmed as the Hokage said "Alright good luck on your mission everybody" And with that we were dismissed. Damn, I've been pretty quiet today. Time to lift the mood!
We were all walking down a path leading to a boat, all of us quiet. "Man, you all got quiet real fast.." I said looking to my right and left, Sakura and Sasuke on my left, Naruto, Kakashi and Tazuna (the bridge builder) to my right. "Well it's a mission, what do you expect?" Sasuke stated. "I don't know, maybe at least a joke or something?" I said. "Oh! Why did the chicken cross the road?!" Naruto shouted. We all groaned and just ignored him. "I take back what I said.." I muttered. Soon, later on the path I noticed a puddle of water along the side. Water? It didn't rain for the past two days! Unless...well, I was right. A Chunin jumped out of his transformation and attacked with a chain. "Protect Tazuna!" Kakashi yelled. "Right!" Sakura stood by him as Kakashi, Sasuke, Naruto and I got to work. There were three who were hiding, Naruto got hit by the metal spiky ball and couldn't get up. "Naruto!" I ran to him to help him up but he said "Don't worry about it! Just fight!" I nodded and went to fight. I let out a battle cry as I punched the ground with my fist. "What the?!" One of the Chunin fell into the ground cracks. I let out another battle cry as I knocked another one sky-high. "That might be a new record.." Kakashi said looking up. "Hm, they've seem to grown a bit stronger". We looked up to see a ninja with bandages over his mouth and a sword hung on his back. "Zabuza..." Kakashi muttered. We all got into a battle stance as Sakura got closer to Tazuna to protect him. "Shadow Clone Jutsu!" Naruto shouted before his clones attacked and stormed him. "Sharinghan!" Sasuke's eyes were red with the Sharingan imprinted inside it. Long story short, Zabuza kicked out asses, then some guy with a mask came to collect him. "Damnit!" I groaned. "What's wrong Naki?" Sakura asked concerned. I sighed and said "It's nothing, never mind" I flashed a smile to be more persuasive. Honestly, I hate the feeling in my gut that I didn't do anything! I know I punched, I know I kicked. But, then what could explain this feeling? We all got into the boat in silence, soon Sakura said "So Naki, how are you so strong like that?" "Huh? Like what?" "Don't play dumb, your strength was amazing!" Sakura smiled. "Thanks! My mom said I got it from my dad" I smiled back. "So how are your parents?" Naruto budded in. I then looked down and said "T-They're gone..." My smile fading. Sakura socked Naruto telling him to shut up. I smiled and said "Don't beat up Naruto, Sakura. It was a misunderstanding after all". "Well if you say so" Sakura replied. Sasuke looked pretty annoyed for some reason. "Hm? Oh right, sorry Sasuke" I scratched the back of my head, I remember I accidentally socked Sasuke when I meant to hit Zabuza...
"Tch, idiot..." Sasuke mumbled. "What did you say duckbutt?!" I shout in anger. Naruto and Sakura held me back as Sasuke just stared wide eyed. Tazuna sat across from us next to Kakashi, Naruto next to me and Sakura next to Sasuke. "So why is it those ninja attacked us?" Kakashi asked. Soon, Tazuna explained the whole thing. "If you had told us earlier, we could have ranked this as an A-Class or B-Class mission". "Right, I'm sorry.." Tazuna mumbled. It got pretty quiet, so I said "So, what do you guys plan on doing when we get back home?" "Well I'm going to get Ramen of course!" Naruto smiled widely. I smiled and said "Only you Naruto, only you. And you Sakura?" "Hm, I'm not really sure". "And you Sasuke?" "It's none of your business" I pouted and said "Oh come on, I'm on your squad!" "So?" "So, you have to trust me then!" I growled slightly. I breathed out and then turned to Kakashi, "What about you?" "Hm, perhaps just help out the elderly as a good citizen" I could tell he was smiling under that mask. "Oh yea, sure" I mumbled. Then we saw the village and paddled faster. Once we got off, Tazuna had taken us to his home. Saying he's going to work the next day. "More please!" Naruto shouted at the dinner table, holding up an empty bowl to Tazuna's daughter. "No way! More for me please!" Sasuke shouted. I facepalmed as everyone stared wide-eyed. Then both of them threw up, my eye twitched in anger as I said "Unless you two plan on dying today, I suggest to stop eating!" I shouted in anger with a tick mark on my head. "R-Right! Naki!" Naruto said immediately. "And why would you scare me?" Sasuke said looking bored. "What was that? Pretty boy?" I smirked. We exchanged glares, "Alright, that's enough you two" Kakashi said looking tired. I glared at Sasuke, he glared right back as the table grew quiet. Soon Sakura noticed a picture frames on the table. "But, why's this part folded?" Then, Tazuna explained the story. Every word dripped with sorrow, he looked like he would cry. Inari (Tazuna's grandson) stood up from the table and walked away. I was about to go after him, until Naruto went. I guess it's for the better, maybe he might be able to sympathize? Naruto seems like he guy to motivate so, why not? They stayed up there as we all ate our food, not a word was spoken.

Kakashi had been hurt badly when Zabuza had attacked, so he has to wear crutches for a while. Poor guy can barely stand on his own. Although he said he's train us in the forest. "Today, you will learn chakra control" Kakashi demonstrated by, walking up a freaking tree. With crutches. Remind me not to get on his bad side huh... "Your going to mark your spot on the trees using a kunai." And with that, we all began. Naruto did it multiple times, scratch above scratch. Sasuke made a little progress in between. Me, I struggled greatly. It's impossible! I grunted and ran up the tree, countless times. "Whoa Sakura!" Naruto shouted, bringing my attention to her. She was sitting on the top of the tree with a tongue stuck out. "Whoa! Good job Sakura!" I shouted with a smile. Sasuke grunted and didn't even say congrats! What a jerk, anyway, Sakura and Kakashi left us to do our training. They said they would be at the bridge building site. "Damnit" I muttered to myself in anger. I fell back down on my feet with my kunai in my hand. Sasuke, Naruto and I trained until sunset! We were exhausted by the time we finished. Sasuke and I had to carry Naruto home. "We're back!" Naruto shouted as we walked inside Tazuna's home. "And we got up the tree!" I cheered happily, Sasuke was smirking, which is the closest he'll ever get to a smile... We all sat down and ate our dinner, Inari's mother's cooking is delicious! Soon, Sakura brought up Inari's father and Inari...got carried away a bit. "He was a hero! He died for this town!" Inari was shouting with tears. He then ran up the stairs into his room. "Why that little, I'm gonna-" "Naruto enough" I said sternly. "Whaddya mean?! I'm gonna give em a piece of my mind!" "Naruto, let me talk to him." He grunted and said "Fine.." I tip-toed to Inari's room and finally found it. Inside I heard, sniffling? I looked inside the room through the door and found that he was sitting on his window sill, looking out to the ocean crying next to a picture of his father. I slowly opened the door and said in a calm voice "Inari? May I come in?" He didn't say anything, just kept weeping. I walked over and sat next to him. "I have to say, he really was a hero huh?" "Yes...he sacrificed himself!" Inari shouted. "It's alright Inari. Think about it, do you think he would want you crying?" I stroked his back, he looked up at me in shock as I sent a warm smile. "N-No...no he wouldn't..." "Exactly, I can tell. He cared about you, wanted the best for you. Why else would he give the ultimate sacrifice?" "I-I...I miss him!" Inari shouted with tears streaming his face as he clung onto me. "Alright, there there. Remember, he was only protecting you Inari" I smiled as I held him like a baby. "Now, let's both go back downstairs to enjoy dinner" I held him by the shoulders. He nodded with a smile as he wiped away his tears. "We're back!" I cheered as I walked with Inari into the dining room. "It's about time" Kakashi smiled under his mask. "Go ahead and eat dinner you two" Inari's mother smiled as we sat down at the table. "I take you two got along?" Sakura whispered to me. "Yup! Nothing to worry about now!" I stuck a tongue out childishly as Sakura smiled back. I grinned wide as Naruto and I cheered pumping out fists in the air.
