CHAPTER 2
/JOE/
For once in my life, I woke up early. It was eight o'clock exactly when I rubbed my eyes and rolled sluggishly out of bed. Caspar was probably still asleep, so I decided to get some breakfast for myself.
Once I reached the kitchen, I opened the fridge. It was practically empty. Sighing, I opened the pantry cupboard. Also empty. Screwing up my nose in frustration, I decided I should head out and get some breakfast and maybe even bring some back for Caspar. Then we would have to go food shopping.
I had a shower, got changed into something comfortable and sent a text message to Caspar as I walked out the door, hoping he would read it when he woke up.
Once I was on the streets, walkways were silently roaming with bystanders, people on a morning jog or randoms. Although I doubted anyone would be shopping this time of the morning.
As I was strolling down a lonely street, I stopped at a bakery. The scent of freshly baked bread filled my nostrils and I walked in, licking my lips as hunger overtook my already crowded thoughts.
I ordered a bacon and cheese roll and ate it quickly and continued to walk.
I was about to turn left to go down another street when I collided into someone.
"Ah! I'm so sorry!"
I blinked a few times to see someone shorter than me. It was a girl, with brown hair tied into a messy bun and a red bandana on her head. She wore overalls with a stripy black and white t-shirt and vans.
In the collision, her sunglasses had been knocked off her head and she bent down to pick them up, as she stood back up my eyes met her dazzling green ones.
Woah, gorgeous-chick alert.
"No, my bad. I'm really sorry." I managed to say, placing my hand on her arm to see if she was okay. The touch sent fireworks shooting up my arm and I almost flinched back in shock.
"It's fine, really - it was my fault, I should have looked where I was going..." As her eyes met mine, I noticed a different expression: realisation... Or recognition.
Great, I thought. A crazy fan girl. That ruined my hopes of a friendship with her.
"Joe?"
My eyes widened. The way she said my name sounded like we were long lost friends. Not the usual. "AAAHHHHHHHH JOE SUGGG AHSHSHABA CANT BREATHE."
"Huh?" I said, blinking a few times.
"Wow" Her smile widened until she was grinning at me with a perfect set of white teeth. She was truly beautiful. I couldn't quite put my finger on her accent though, but it was sexy.
"The one and only." I ran a hand through my hair, my eyes never leaving her face.
"Well it's an honour to meet you in person. I used to watch your videos a while back." She said, holding out her hand.
I couldn't believe it. She was treating me like an actual human being. Usually when someone does that they get a great reaction out of me.
"It's an honour to meet you too!" I said, finally finding my voice. "Whoever you are." I said, grinning at her. I didn't want to stop shaking her hand.
"Right, sorry." She cleared her throat. "I'm Olly, I'm visiting London for a few weeks." She smiled at me.
"Oh really?" I asked in surprise, finally letting go of her soft hand. "Where are you from?" her accent could have been Australian, but I wasn't too sure.
