Nate wiggled his toes in the clear blue water. It rippled, making a nice effect. Nate was naïve and loved to see nice things. He also liked to touch nice things and feel the texture. Like his mom's lace dress. Or Jessica's new perfume.

'Oy!' Jessica, Nate's older and self-known 'mature' sister, hollered when he swivelled his fingers inside, the perfume's vapor coming up like a potion and amusing Nate. 'Mom! He's polluting my new and expensive Victoria's Secret perfume! Mom!'

Nate had a slight case of Asperger's Sydrome, which forces him to be simple-minded and had a focus on a few things only. When he eats, he just focuses on the food and milk bottle next to him, unaware his fork was poking him in the nose.

'Hey, Nate,' Jessica called. She was wearing a bright blue swimsuit with yellow polka dots on it. But Nate was busily rippling the water that he didn't focus on Jessica's speech.

'Nate! Nate! Nate!' Jessica groan-hollered. 'Nate! Mom, Nate's having that inner focus-seizure thing again!'

Nate finally turned his gaze to Jessica. But he was focusing on the dolphin blowup in her hand instead of her speech again.

'Give me that blowup,' Nate said in an imperious gangster accent. 'Give me that blowup,' Jessica mimicked. Immediately she knew she made a mistake. If anybody repeated anything Nate said, he would be very angry because they stole his 'unique' lines that he programmed in his brain. Let alone somebody meanly mimicking him.

'HEEEY!' Nate howled. 'Give me that blowup now, or I'll- I'll- I'll-'

'You'll nothing!' Jessica screamed at him. The heat was up now. She had enough to be a nice and patient sister to this stupid oddity. She'll never say anything that helps him again! 'Huh? You'll what? Stutter at me?'

Nate breathed in. And exhaled. And inhaled. But he didn't let go of the breath. He spoke in a very Middle Western way with the mouthful of air inside his lungs. 'I'm gonna ruin your life.'

Jessica blinked her widely open eyes at him, attempting to scare him. She tossed her hair, wet with beach water, and screamed, 'Mom! He's relying on me! Why, why, why does he have that frustrating disease? Why can't I have a quiet and following little sister instead of this oddity, me like a serving maid?!'
