Runaway Love

~Chapter 1 ~

A ding sounded from the corner of the room, a text notification from a phone that belonged to a teenaged girl. She turned her head from her Algebra book, picking up the phone and texting her friend back until a knock sounded at her door. She sighed, swinging her feet over her bed, letting them hit the tile before standing and opening the door to her mother.

"Hey sweetie, I think we need to talk..." Her mother, Andrea, spoke softly.

"What's up Mom?" She replied, following behind her mother to the dining room table.

"I need to tell you something." Her mother sighed, suggesting that her daughter, Jacqueline, take a seat.

Jacqueline side glanced at her mother's boyfriend, who reeked of alchohol and tobacco, looking back at her mother.

"Jackie... Chad and I..." She was interupted by the middle aged man to her left.

"Andrea, I'll tell her. Jackie, your mother and I are getting married." Jacqueline's eyes widened, standing immediately.

"What?" She replied rather harshly, not believing any of it.

"Sweetie, I know you're still upset about your father and I splitting up. But our love.. just kind of died out. I fell in love with Chad and we decided that we're gonna get married in a few months. I understand if you don-" Andrea was interupted again.

"No, she's going to the wedding. Andrea, stop being so soft on this child. For god's sake, this is why she has such an attitude." Chad scoffed, slamming his beer can down on the table.

"I only have an attitude because I have to deal with jerks like you. And stop acting like you know me, you don't and you never will!" Jacqueline yelled in response, crossing her arms and rolling her eyes.

"Excuse you, young lady. I am an adult, and you will treat me with respect!" He stood challengingly, crossing his arms over his beer belly.

"You may be an adult, but honestly, I don't care. You're not my parent, you can't tell ne what to do!" She shouted, running up to her room and grabbing her phone and keys, ignoring her mother calling for her.

She opened her window, feeling the cool night air whip against her face, brushing her long, brown hair behind her shoulder as she climbed out, shoving her phone in her back pocket as she darted towards no specific place.

"You want a drink, Justin?" A man with short blonde hair asked, holding a shot of Vodka out to the other guy in a snapback and a jean jacket who shook his head trying to find the exit door.

"Justin, leaving already?" His other friend asked, looking really drunk.

"Yeah man, I gotta be at the studio really early tomorrow morning. Scooter will kill me I come in with a hangover again." He replied, chuckling, finding the door and backing out. He got into his Ferarri, starting the engine, pulling out of the club parking lot, driving down the deserted road.

Jacqueline saw a dark road, running through it as fast as her legs would take her, eyes widening as bright lights came to her right, making her immediately stop as she slammed her hands against the hood of the car as if to stop it as the driver slammed against his brakes.

also, the the Jacque in this story is Jacque Rae Pyles. She's been friends with Justin for years, before he was famous, and recently they've been hanging out more often and I thought "why not put her in the story?" haha. (:
