Stranded at sea

I was walking outside, along the beach. My home, an orphanage, was only a few blocks away. I had snuck outside without the people who worked at the orphanage knowing. A huge wave came and rushed my way. I ran and tried to dodge it but I was too slow. I have no shoes to wear. I never needed them in the place I live in. The wave drenched me and took me off my feet. It pulled me out to sea, further and further out. Until I couldn't see the shore. Soon, I was completely lost of which way to try and swim. I looked around and spotted a small bit of land. I swam toward it and when I got to it, hoisted myself up to where I could stand on it. It must've been a deserted island. I walked around and shook off a little bit. This had to be a huge nightmare. It just had to be. "This is just a huge nightmare, Maggie." I scolded myself. Just then, I saw a glimpse of a girl swimming in the water. I blinked. I looked again and it was gone. Suddenly, I felt something grab my ankles and pull me into the warm water.
