James O'nera saw many things in his life, he was a teen during the blight survived, though through the middle he learned he had the taint. His parents didn't want to watch their son die and only way to survive was become a grey warden. He didn't have much of a choice so he did, he wasn't goog with daggers or a sword which was a first. When his mentor had found found out he was good at fighting with his fists then things got interesting.

The man had a blacksmith forge something fur guards that metal was strapped to which lead the metal down the back of his hand and three sharp points like blades that extended from the dips between his knuckles. He hadn't known what to do at first and William had explained it to him with how often he got into fights that he was better with fist fights so he just added a weapon at the end. Once that had been explained, James finally understood what the older man was trying to get at.

Training was torture, but the end result was great. He never was in one spot and archers had to take targets that weren't already being attacked by him. Years had gone by quickly he had earned his role in the Grey Wardens though he feared when the calling would come for him he feared death like any other man. A few friends of his had dared him to get tattoos and he did, the man wasn't all too happy on giving him his coin for saying he was too coward to do it.

The Breach was something he never expected to happen in his life, and mostly he wished it hadn't days later he heard the whispers in the back of his head, which freaked him out and he wasn't the only one who was hearing the first part of the calling. When the tevinter magister showed up weeks later he knew something was wrong he couldn't stay he had to go. James never trusted Tevinter magister and the blood magic came a day later.

He had witnessed his mentor William killed in front of him his father figure the man who treated him as he equal that's when he knew he had to leave to get out of here. With that he got on his horse Storm the black mare ran away from the place he called home for years.

He rode for weeks stopping and getting supplies when needed and killing off a mages who thought they could take him, though through each village he came rough he heard rumors of this Inquisition he didn't know what to make of them. Some were saying a woman was sent by Andraste herself and others were saying she couldn't be trusted that she was just after power that she didn't care about the Breach.

Stopping in a village for some much needed rest, it was dark and he could hear voices of mages and Templars, bickering on who killed the Divine just before a womans voice joined the fray begging them to let her and her children go. Now that was crossing the line leaving Storm where he was making his way toward the voices. His jaw clenched weapons still strapped around his arms.

"Both of you knock it off! Putting innocent lives at risk this isn't what either of you should be doing!" A group of mages maybe four or five he couldn't really tell and the Templars had maybe six he couldn't count the numbers out right. "Hah! And let the whore and little monster out of our sight I don't think so." The Grey Warden frowned the frightened face of the child looking at him, "he's no threat leave him be." Mages looked at him like he was crazy that letting a child that was a mage no less go.

A Templar that looked fresh out of recruitment stepped forward, "and why's that murderer." Ah so they saw the sigil of the Grey Wardens though his fists clenched. "I'm no murderer and the kid can go with the mages learn how to control what he has been gifted now let them go." He heard laughter before he heard fotsteps behind him the soft tap of metal on metal which meant these people were wearing armor. "The genleman said let them go."

The voice registered, people had said the inquisiton had cleared this place out of mages and Templars, but that didn't mean they didn't travel through the Crossroads to get where they were going. He had also heard another Grey Warden had joined the Inquisiton.

He had at first laughed at it, but when he kept hearing it he couldn't help, but believe the rumor. He also swear that he heard a gruff voice of someone behind him saying he was a Grey Warden. Though he didn't turn and the mages were uneasily shifting on their feet wondering what was going to happen.

Hearing Templars laugh, "right and let the monster be turned into more of a monster by there hands." James sighed the hard way it was then, when he finally finished that thought the first Templar rushed him before more cries of his brethern joined him. Well let the fun begin.
