I've been visiting Rika a lot the past few days. I haven't been writing in this journal. Oh well. I'm off to see Rika. I knocked on her door. "Hey Rika it's Andrew." No answer. Normally she'd open the door or tell me to come in. I knocked once more. Again, no answer. So I just opened the door and walked in. Rika was curled up on her bed hugging her bunny rabbit tightly. "Rika?" I asked quietly. She was whimpering. I walked closer to her bed, and gently placed my hand on her shoulder. "NO! YOU'RE NOT TAKING ME! YOU'RE EVIL LEAVE MY MIND ALONE!!" She was screaming at me. "Rika, it's me Andrew. It's okay." She slowly calmed down. "It's just me." I gently placed my hand on her shoulder again. She began crying. "I...I-I'm sorry drew-drew..." She had taken to calling me "Drew-drew" I liked it. I gently sat down and pulled her into my lap. "It's okay Rika." I softly stroked her hair as she buried her face into my neck. We sat like this for a while until she pulled back. "Everyone thinks I'm crazy because stuff like this happens." She said. I kissed the top of her head. "You're not crazy." I said to her. "Yeah, I am. I see things. I hear things that aren't there. I thought you were the bad man who I always see. He's shadowy and I know he's not real but he terrifys me. That's why I'm in here. I'm just a dumb scizo freak who doesn't deserve you as a friend." I listened to her. "You're not a freak Rika. It's not your fault that you see and hear things. That's like saying someone who develops, say cancer, is crazy and a freak. Just because not everyone understands doesn't mean that you're worthless. I see a sweet girl who doesn't deserve this and needs a friend. That's why you have me. And I love being friends with you." She buried her face back into my neck. She was much taller than me, but the way I was seeing her right now made her seem so...small. I knew I needed to take care of her. And I knew I had feelings for this young woman that I was holding in my arms. "It's okay Rika. Everything is okay." I softly rubbed her back. "Thank you, Drew-drew..." she mumbled as she drifted to sleep. I wanted to be there when she woke up so I decided to cuddle with her. I laid down on the bed and spooned her. I gently ran my fingers through her hair and began to drift to sleep. I woke up to Rika tapping my shoulder. "Hi..." she said quietly. "Hey." I smiled sleepishly. She had turned around to face me but my arms were still around her. "Is it weird that I feel safe in your arms?" She asked me. "No. Is it strange that I like protecting you in my arms?" She smiled and shook her head. I poked her cheeks. "Look at that cute little smile." I said. She blushed and hid her face behind her hair, which I moved out of her face. "Now why are you hiding such a beautiful face?" I asked and she blushed harder. We had slept through most of the day and realized it was soon to be dinner time. We just cuddled until it was time. And then we walked down together and ate. When I was with her I didn't worry about food. We joked around and I ate and then we went back up to our rooms. I asked the head nurse if I could stay in Rika's room for the night. She smiled and said yes. I quickly ran to my room and grabbed my teddy bear and ran to Rika's room. "Hey." She flinched, I had startled her. "Aww I'm sorry it's just me." I closed the door behind me. "Guess what?" I said. She smiled. "What are you doing here, i thought you were going to bed?" "I'm staying here tonight." She smiled, got up and jumped into my arms. "YAY!!!!" I laughed. "You're so cute." She buried her face into my neck. I could tell she was blushing because her face was warm. "Wanna play truth or dare?" I asked. She got up and plopped down on the floor. "Sure." She said and I plopped down across from her. We did several truths and dares and then it was my turn again. "Truth or dare?" She asked. "Truth." "Do you have a crush on anyone?" She asked. I blushed. "Yeah." "Truth or dare?" "Truth." "Do you have a crush on anyone?" She blushed and nodded. I smiled. "Andrew?" "Yeah?" I asked. "Truth or dare?" I smiled. "Dare." "I dare you to kiss me." She said quietly looking at the floor. I was taken aback. I leaned forward, cupping her cheeks and kissed her. I could tell she was surprised that I actually did it, because it took her a moment to kiss back. Her lips were so soft. We kissed for a while and then broke apart for air. I still was cupping her cheeks, her arms were around my waist. I looked her in the eyes. "I like you dumb dumb." She giggled. "I like you too drew-drew." I kissed her soft lips again. She laid down on the floor and pulled my small body down to hers, without breaking the kiss. It had gotten heated quickly. When we pulled apart for air, I smiled at her. "You're so beautiful. " She blushed. "Drew-drew." "Yeah?" "I'm sleepy.." "Let's go to bed then." I stood up, and she lifted her arms toward me. "Carry me." She said tiredly. I leaned down and wrapped my arms around her waist as she wrapped her's around my neck, and her legs around my waist. I gently placed her on the bed and turned out the light laying down next to her. She pulled my body to hers and wrapped her legs around my waist and arms around my neck again. She's so cute. We drifted off to sleep
