Max POV

I stare at the board that the teacher is scribbling on. I'm not paying attention. Her handwriting is unreadable, and the shit she is teaching us is so boring I want to pull my hair out. I lean my head on my hand and try to blow a piece of hair out of the way of my eyes, but it doesn't work and I end up giving up, and looking at the board again to see her ineligible writing.

Someone starts to click their pen, and at first its only every now and again, but it soon turns into a long string of clicks.

Click. Click. Click

I look around to see if anyone else it bothered by it, or who it is, but as I look around, the clicking stops. I stare at the board again, to see she has written something and she tells us to copy it down.

Click. Click. Click

I bite my lip to stop myself from shouting, but I can feel the annoyance bubbling in my chest.

Click. Click. Click

I pan around the room, and my eyes rest on the one and only, Ross, clicking his pen.

Click. Click. Click

I try to get his attention, to tell him to stop, but he carries on doing it. I end up staring at him, but he still doesnt notice

Click. Click. Click

Thats it.

I rip a page of my book out and crumple it up, throwing it straight at Ross's face.

'What the hell!' He shouts.

'Ross! How dare you talk over me?' He teacher says sternly. I find myself smirking at him. 'That's a detention after school!'

'That's not fair, Max threw a piece of paper at me' He says, looking over at me and glaring.

'Well then Max will have to join you, won't he. Now I'll thank you to be quiet' She says, looking from me to Ross.

Now not only have I got myself a detention, it's with him. I glare back at him for the rest of the lesson.

I stare at a random poster for about 10 minuets, before the teacher leaves and tells us to keep quiet. I roll my eyes after she leaves, and turn around to Ross

'This is you fault'

'My fault? You're the one who threw the paper at me'

'You're the one who kept clicking the pen'

We glare at each other for a while, before I turn around and continue staring at the wall.

I hear him sniggering slightly, I turn around quickly and stare at him.

'What?'

'Why are you laughing'

'Nothing. It's just, that paper hit me right in the face, it was a pretty awesome shot'

I roll my eyes and smile, suddenly forgetting why I was annoyed.

Me and Ross sit on the squeaky swings. It's an old park, and all the kids in the neighbourhood love it, but none of them where here as it was starting to get dark. It was silent except for the loud screeches from the chains on the swings.

Me and Ross have been pretty good friends since the whole pen-clicking-paper-throwing-detention incidence.

Ross's phone buzzes and he stands up quickly 'Oh shit, my mum wants me home'

I stand up with him 'What's the time?'

'8:30' He says, walking to the gate, me following after him.

'Oh fuck, my curfew was 30 minuets ago' I start running, and before I can say bye, I somehow fall into Ross, making us fall over. I mean, it wouldn't be that bad, if I didn't fall over Ross, and land on top of him.

That wouldn't even be that bad, if I hadn't have fallen in such a way meaning I kissed him.
