Chapter One:

"Harry! Ron! Hurry up!" Hermione Granger shouted back to her best friend and her boyfriend.

"Blimey Hermione, relax. We will get there, just please stop rushing. I'm beat!" Harry shouted back.

Hermione stopped, letting her friends catch up. She was excited. This was their last year at Hogwarts, and she wanted to get there as quickly as possible. After the war ended, seventh years were given the option to come back and complete their final year, since the war interrupted everyone's education.

It would be neat because Harry, Ron and Hermione would be in the same year as Ginny and Luna.

The boys caught up to Hermione, and she walked with them through the crowds until they reached the entrance to the train. They climbed aboard, and found themselves an empty compartment.

"I'm so excited!" Hermione bounced in her seat. The boys just laughed.

Ginny, Luna, and Neville piled into the compartment ten minutes later.

"Hey guys." Neville said.

"Hi." Harry, Ron, and Hermione said simultaneously.

"How was everyone's summer?" Harry asked, starting a conversation.

"Great! Father and I went hunting for wrackspurts." Luna said in her dreamy voice.

"Alright then." Harry said, not knowing what wrackspurts are. "How about you, Neville?"

"Pretty good. I spent most of my summer reading herbology books."

The train set off and the gang kept chatting away.

Later that night they arrived at Hogwarts. They made their way up to the castle to attend the feast.

They all say down at Gryffindor's table and waited for the sitting ceremony to begin. Once all the students were in, Professor McGonagall led the first years into the Great Hall.

"I have a few announcements. First, I'd like to welcome you all back. Seventh years, thank you for deciding to come back to complete your education. Hogwarts suffered incredible damage during the war. We were able to repair most of the castle. We also are taking in new students from any magical school and placing them in their year. Now, let's all take a moment of silence for those we lost during the war." McGonagall said, and everyone bowed their heads.

After the sorting ceremony and the feast, everyone went to their dormitories for the night. However, something was bothering Hermione.

During the sorting ceremony, there was an older boy, possibly around their year, but there was just something about him that caught Hermione's attention.

She was determined to find out who he was when classes started.

Guys, I'm sorry if this sucks. I just rushed through what I had left of this chapter. I started work, and I've been gone all day pretty much. Tomorrow is when I actually start training, but I will get off at three, and I have the weekends off. So I'm hoping to get some writing in then.

Yeah, sorry for being suckish. :/
