I woke up to my phone blaring slipknot and a screaming headache. I was simultaneously trying to find out why our tour manager was calling me, and why the world was so out of focus at the same time.

"Austin!" he yelled when I finally picked up the phone. "I've been calling you all morning. Where the hell are you? You have an interview in twenty minutes!" Oh shit. I forgot about that.

"Yeah, um, chill out man. I'm on my way right now. Send me the address", I mumbled, while pulling on my pants. Working through my hangover, I took in my surroundings. I was at Alan's place in his guest bedroom, with some blonde I'm pretty sure I've never met before. Well, never met sober. I found my keys and some sunglasses and crept through the house, trying not to wake up the practically comatose party goers.

I managed to get to the AP headquarters, at 11:45, only fifteen minutes late. I got an intense glare from Travis, our tour manager, as I cleared my throat to announce my presence. At least the camera man smiled at me.

"Well you're finally here", a voice said. I turned, and standing behind me was Blake Ravenous, the hottest chick in rock music. I tried not to freak out.

"People, um, ship us together", I said, while shuffling my feet. Real smooth Austin.

"Lets get this started", she said, giving me a weird look as she moved past me to sit on the couch. We answered some typical questions, like "describe the sound of the next album" and "who inspired you?". My answers were totally half- assed, but she looked so inspired and animated the whole time. She was so down to earth and dedicated to her fans.

I was so caught up in thinking about her that I didn't even notice I had been asked a question.

"Sorry" I laughed. "I'm still kind of not with it. Can you repeat that?" I was definitely blushing. Shit. I wasn't normally this bad at interviews.

"He asked how you feel about our upcoming tour", Blake recounted for me.

"Oh! Wow. I guess if I was on time, I would've known about this before now", I laughed again. "I'm sure I speak for the whole band when I say we're super excited. We're all fans of Shooting Up Stars, and we've always wanted to your with you, we just didn't think it was possible", I rambled. God I was a mess. That was the last question, so we said our goodbyes. As soon as the camera was off, I slouched down into the couch with a groan.

"Maybe if you didn't show up to an interview late and hungover, you would've had a better time", she said before walking off. Great, now I've completely embarrassed myself in front of The Blake Ravenous, and made an ass of myself. She probably thinks I'm a douche that's in it for the fame and money. She was definitely right though, I should've stayed home instead of partying last night. I knew about the interview weeks ago, but I had to go and get drunk as a pathetic attempt to get over my ex girlfriend. Travis threw a water bottle at me, which didn't help my already shit mood. Eventually, I got up and headed home.

Yeah, I know, another story starting off with a hangover. How unoriginal. Hopefully, though, this story is a little less cliche than most fanfiction out there.
