It was the next morning when Derek shot up from his sleep, having made gasping sounds he woke the two sitting in the room with him. A woman, about his height with long black-brown hair sat by the table he was on, her small warm hands clutching his, deep down in his mind and heart he knew this woman, and that he wanted no needed to protect her, the man in the room that tried to talk to him was an instinctual threat, jumping up from the table he launched his fist out and knocked the man unconscious before taking the woman's hand and pulling her after him.

Running to the only place he knew her and him to be safe, he didn't stop, that is until the small hand in his pulled him to, looking at her he realized why she needed to stop. She was pregnant. "Sorry, I didn't realize you were pregnant, I could give you a piggy back ride." She only shook her head and stepped next to him, "it's fine, I just need a little break." He could only agree with her, his need to do anything for her taking over. "What's your name?" He asked wondering if it would match her, "I'm Sabylla Atanubis." And it did, she looked like an Egyptian goddess, her emerald green eyes seem to mirror his own, but they held much more wisdom and power, even more so than his mother Talia Hale, the Alpha.

When the two reached their destination Derek stood in shock, where his house once stood was nothing but rubble, dread and disbelief filled him to his core, worry and rage filled him as no sign of his family was present. Collapsing to his knees he stared, nothing more, he just stared, soft sweet smelling warmth enveloped him, as the woman Sabllya comforted him. "No word will ever make what has been done better, but if ever you need to talk I'm here." He could do nothing but nod, fear that his sadness and rage would get the better of him and he would shift, and hurt this woman who seemed to mean a great deal to him. "Hey you two can't be here, this is city property." A male voice shouted, standing Derek turned to the new arrivals. Two Beacon Hills policemen. One young about 24 while the other older mid thirties radiated aggression and was a threat to Sabylla.

"Officer Parish, sorry we were just leaving." She covered, but before the young officer could let them leave peacefully his partner reached out and pulled the woman from Derek's side, insinuating a protectiveness in the newly turned young wolf. With unseen speed the young wolf struck out freeing his female companion. Only to be cuffed himself. And thrown into the back of a police cruiser. The shouting and arguing during the fight was deaf on the young boy's ears as blood and anger pumped. Now calming to a somewhat controlled rage, he sat in the back behind the two men, Sabylla seated beside him, he leaned as much of himself on her and kept his eyes locked on the two men, as they drove, her soft laughter tickled his sensitive ears, as she wrapped her arms around him and leaned her head on his shoulder. Her movements and affection pleasing him greatly, as he could hear her strong heart beat and that of the unborn infant inside of her, he used its calming effect to tame his rage, it subconsciously becoming his anchor, his reason to be able to fight his forced shifts.

Pulling into the station, Derek didn't care if the older officer grabbed him but so long as he didn't touch her he didn't mind his sweaty and disgusting hands on him. But that didn't happen as the older officer shoved the younger towards Derek's side he rounded the care and got to Sabylla's side, shouting for the younger one to get her, he struggled, gently Parish helped Derek from the car and closed the door, and in understanding walked fast to catch up with his partner and the beautiful woman, being man-handled like she was a first rate murderer. Parish understood this kid's need protect this girl, it was obvious that she was pregnant, even in her loose sweater, the four month baby bump visible to anyone with good observation skills, that which his partner lacked.
