Ainsley POV
As I headed to pick my little brother up from school I just couldn't stop thinking about Brandon. He was so perfect his beautiful green orbs that looked lifeless intrigued me. They intrigued me because I could see the pain. His attitude was bad but you could tell he had a little love in his heart. The bell rang snapping me out of my thoughts. Seeing my little brother and all of his hair running toward the car a smile grew upon my face. As Kayden got in the car he engulfed me in a hug. I kissed all over his face knowing he didn't like it.

"Stopppp Ans!" He said wiping his face. Which only caused me to laugh.

"I'm Sorry for laughing Kay. You forgive me?"I said trying to make my voice soft.
"Um yes, if you buy me food." He said with his hand under his chin.

"What if I cook you dinner? That sounds better right?" I said pulling off.

"Yuck! I want a happy meal with a toy" I almost thought that was funny until I realized he insulted my cooking. Placing my hand on my chest my mouth opened and a shocked expression danced upon my face.

"I can cook Kay. I'm good at it." I can make pasta and toast that's good enough. I can make all kinds of toast. Garlic toast, buttered toast, toast without butter, toast with jelly. Like what else does he want. Arriving at McDonald's I ordered for him and we went home. Opening the door to my apartment I quickly took off my shoes and locked it only wanting to go to sleep. As soon as I reached my room Kay called my name. Going back into the kitchen to see what he wanted I laughed seeing he couldn't open the sauce packet. Quickly taking it from him and opening it I placed it infront of him. Thinking I was in the clear he called me again.

" Yes Kay what do you need?" I said as calm as possible.

" Can you help me with my homework?" He asked, as my mood finally softened.

"Yes I'll help you with your homework, let me just get in the shower okay." He nodded his head as he began stuffing his face. Running upstairs I quickly stepped out of my clothes. As I put my hair in a pony tail my phone rang. Running to answer it, it was an unknown number. Placing it to my ear I said hello.

"Wassup it's bibby." Hearing his deep voice boom through my phone made my knees buckle. I took a deep breath before replying.

"Nothing I just got home, how did you get my number." I asked.

"Don't worry about all that, but I was wondering if you wanted to go out tonight instead?" Although I'd really love to I had to think about Kay. I didn't have a babysitter and it was kind of last minute.

"Um actually I can't, I have to go to work tomorrow, I need to make sure my brother is ready for school in the morning, and it's just too late to find a baby sitter. I said scared of his response. Most guys my age want nothing to do with me when I tell them about Kay, but Kay comes first so I didn't mind being single.

"Well how about we all go out. We can go to Dave and Buster's I think lil dude would like that."

"That sounds good actually let me get in the shower and we will meet you there at 5:30."

"Bet." He said as I hung up. Growing excited I quickly jumped in the shower thinking about what I was going to wear. Being as I forgot to put my shower cap on I was going to have to wear my hair curly. Going into my brother's room I pulled out his Nike sweatsuit before heading downstairs to help him with his homework. Once we finished I brought him upstairs and helped him get changed. My brother was only five so I helped him with a lot of things. Pulling him into my bathroom I wet a brush and pulled his hair into a ponytail before making him brush his teeth. Turning on cartoons in my room for him I grabbed my clothes and got dressed in the restroom. Looking myself over I applied another coat of lip gloss and turned off the tv. Grabbing my purse and Kay's hand as we left out.

Pulling up to Dave and Buster's I sat in the car for a while Kay was super excited, but I wasn't anymore. I was starting to regret my decision. I had never brought Kay around a guy because I can't have guys in and out of his life it's just not a good look. Slowly opening the door I got out and opened the door for Kay. We walked in hand in hand. Looking around my eyes landed on those all too familiar green orbs. Kay and I walked over towards him. He smiled looking me over and then at Kay. Kay's grip loosened on my hand as his hands attached to my thigh. Brandon crouched down before speaking

"Wassup little man I got this for you." He said pulling the candy from behind his back. Kay's eyes lit up as he took the candy while saying thank you. I frowned being that I didn't allow him to have candy because it was hard to get him to settle down after he'd eat it. Kay let go of my leg and grabbed Brandon's hand as we walked towards the games. Brandon already bought a card which was odd to me because this wasn't a date so I could pay for Kay and I. When Kay saw the motor cycle game he jumped up and down. I laughed seeing his excitement. I rode with him because he was too little, while Brandon took pics. At 8 we decided to leave. It was crazy though because Kay did not want to leave Brandon. Finally getting him in the car I walked around only to be greeted by Brandon.
"Tonight was a lot of fun." I said smiling extra hard showing off my dimple.

" Yeah, I was genuinely happy for the first time in a long time." He said tracing his finger over my shoulder. I leaned in to kiss him but he backed away and extended his hand. "Chill out Ma we aren't there yet." He said as he opened my car door for me to get in. Shutting my door with a look of defeat I pulled off before I saw him walk to his car.
