"How could you," Terri and Joe's mother voice shook the ground as she pointed towards the huge hole in the wall.
"My brain made me do it," Joe stated, he was never the best at coming up with lies. What happen here you may ask? Well just one of Terri and Joe's clever ideas. Who would have thought that being shoved in a suitcase down the stairs would lead to not only a hole in the wall but also a lot more bumps and bruises then necessary.
It was early afternoon on a Saturday and the room was filled with so much gut busting boredom that both Terri and Joe were beginning to feel the life being drained right out of them. All of a sudden Joe sat up, his face all scrunched up meaning he had an idea. Joe, being the older of the two, was, of course, the one who came up with all their most "brilliant" schemes. Things such as eggs in the microwave, mixture of different abominable tasting drinks and foods, and any other absolutely ludicrous ideas were formed by Joe. Though no matter how absurd the suggestion was Terri would always go along with it.
"I've got it!" Joe was jumping up and down ecstatically
"You've got what exactly?" Terri said in her oh-so-annoying-baby voice since she was still five and wanted to show the big baby that she stores inside.
"Go to the top of the stairs and wait for me there, you'll see!" Joe jumped up and ran to the oh-so-scary-basement that was lit up, even without any lights turned on because it was, still early afternoon.
When Joe came up the long flight of stairs he was holding a massive, rock-like suitcase in his puny hands. "I call this suitcase sliding." He explained as he opened the suitcase to reveal the old stiff socks that inhabited the inside. He hurriedly threw the socks out. At the same time Joe threw Terri into the suitcase. Terri was then catapulted down the stairs in the death machine. With a big bang the wall caught the suitcase with Terri still inside.
"Get me out!" Terri was getting claustrophobic in the tight, smelly space. Joe opened the suitcase and was hit upon the head as his sister hurriedly jumped out to get a gulp of fresh air.
"I guess it's my turn." Joe began to drag the suitcase up the stairs and got ready for his turn.
"Yup and I'm gonna push you." Terri was getting ready excitedly as Joe stepped into the suitcase and shut the lid. "Get ready.....and..... Bye bye." Terri shoved Joe as hard as she could. He then went crashing to into the wall.
A few minutes later when Joe was out of the suitcase they examined the scene.
"What the...." Joe began as he stared at the colossal hole in the wall and the black skid marks all along the wall. "Oh man, we are so in trouble."
"What are you talking abou......" Terri stared wide eyed as she caught a glimpse of the hole and skid marks. "What are we going to do? Mom is gonna absolutely freak out when she sees these."
"Well we will cover them up then."
"Joe, what can we cover it up with?" A few moments later Terri looked as if she had come up with an idea. "Maybe... a piece of paper might cover up the wall?"
"Good idea! Go get some tape and paper."
"Fine, I'll be right back just don't do anything without me."
Terri returned with a roll of duct tape and a few drawings that she had drew earlier that day. "Here you go, Joe. I got you tape and a few pieces of paper."
"Perfect! Though I think.... we are going to need some scissors for the duct tape."
"Oh, I put some in my pocket..... Here." Terri handed over a pair of safety scissors. Joe began to patch up the hole with the minimal supplies that was handed to him. By the end there were pieces of duct tape all over the walls and pictures of who knows what being partially hung by the messy setup of the duct tape. It was so horrid looking that not even a famous artist's name would be able to convince anyone it was a piece of of art rather than trash.
"There it is complete. Now put this stuff away." Terri ran off to one of her lazy spots where she places things that she either didn't remember where they belonged or was just too lazy to want to put it away.
"Look all my pretty drawings are on the walls. Mommy will never know that the walls had a single ouchy." Terri was feeling so self satisfied that she spun in a circle and lost her balance getting a piece of loose duct tape in her hair.
"You have something there..." Joe began to tear hair from Terri's head.
"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Terri let out a banshee esk scream causing Joe to tumble backwards with a painful rip of Terri's hair.
"Well anyway," Joe got up a few seconds after stabilizing himself from that eardrum bursting screech," Let's try suitcase sliding with the door open and both of us inside it this time. Though we'll have to do it on the other set of stairs."
Terri got up with tear stains on her cheeks. "Sounds like fun!" She exclaimed with a still-raspy-after-screaming-voice.
They were at the top of the down stairs steps as they both sat in the suitcase getting ready." Are you ready, Terri?" Joe was being considerate at the moment unlike how he was less than an hour before.
"Wait, what is this?" Terri picked up a strap that was attached to the suitcase.
"I think that it is for......uuuuhhhh....... socks, ties and..... possibly...uuumm...maybe... some undies. And other what-nots.... You know?" Joe was having a bit of trouble thinking about it. All in honesty he wasn't to quite sure himself.
"Well, doesn't it look like a seatbelt?"
"Terri, It sooo doesn't look like a seatbelt. Maaaaaaaaaaaaan... why do I have such an idiot for a sister?"
"I think it looks like a seat belt... and you know what Dora always says..." Terri was now smiling getting ready to annoy her brother with her reference of Dora.
"Noooooooooooo. Stop it. No Dora allowed." Joe complained in the most exasperated voice he could muster.
"Seatbelts so we can be safe..." Terri was about to sing one of Dora's songs when she took a look at her brother's face and felt that it had been enough torture for her just to mention her singing a Dora song in her squeaky, high pitched voice. "Fine I'll stop. I'm ready to go now that I have my safety seat belt on." Terri stated and gave a self-satisfactory smile.
Just as their ride began Terri fell out. Even though Terri was out of the suitcase her "seat belt" felt she should stay on so it held onto her. She was being dragged down the long flight of stairs. Finally when the aggravatingly journey seemed to never end the suitcase hit the last step flinging Terri, who at the moment look like chaotic hairball, from the back of the suitcase to the hard ground in front of the suitcase.
When Terri got up she had bruises on her knees and a rug burn from the stairs. Her hair was so messy and everywhere that she looked like cousin IT, from the Addams Family, with bed head. "Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha." Joe who had stayed in the suitcase without a scratch on him was now on the ground laughing so hard he had to hold on to his stomach.
Meanwhile, Terri and Joe's mother was opening the door to find the surprises the kids had left behind. "Joseph Anthony Surina....... Terri Mary Surina!" The ground began to tremble and and the children felt as if the floor was about to swallow them up.
"Mother whatever....uh....is the matter." Terri asked hesitantly as she reached to step away her mother.
Her mother's eyes were scorched with rage. When Terri took a glimpse of them she had to instantly look away for it had felt like she was being pushed into an inferno of fury. Her mother was so caught up with the messy walls of the stairs that she didn't even care about her daughter's appearance.
"What the..... how did you.....why did you....." The momster began to speak but couldn't find the correct words.
The terrors that awaited both Joe and Terri were so ghastly that the mere thought of it sends ferocious shivers throughout the whole body. When the momster is awakened there is no telling what it will do.
Though the ideas Joe came up with were mostly enjoyable they had many consequences. Saddly this was not the first nor the last of Joe's idiotic schemes. Although it was one of the most memorable.
