Years passed and Maya was now a teenager, and Maxamus was an adult. Maxamus was out hunting with Sarah when they came across a lake it was in between the two territories. "Come on lets swim!" Said Sarah. "I-I can't." Said Maxamus."You can't swim?" asked Sarah. "No I was not taught how, my real parents died before teaching me and me parents never thought of it." Said Maxamus. "Well I will teach you then." Said Sarah. Sarah then jumped in and started swimming. "paddle, like this." Sarah said swimming around. Maxamus jumped in and tried to mimic her be began to sink. They began to panic and she began to swim to him, but by the time she got to him he was under. So she dived under and tried to catch him. But he by the time she got to him he was not breathing, he had drowned. Sarah pulled him up and put him ashore. She tried to bring him back but she was to late. Sarah ran off crying and told the news to his parents. The whole pack began a ceremony to say goodbye.
