Chapter 1: A Road Trip And Making A New Friend!

Chapter 1:  START!!

All my friends and I decided that a fun way to find people like us would to go on a road trip for a month. WhIle I was packIng all my things I got a call. So I answered. "Hello? Ally speaking." I said while putting the shirt I was holdIng on my bed. "Sup Ally It's Lavi. Are you almost ready? Cause we're gonna be there In 1 hour? Oh.... And I might or might not have a bit of bad news....." He said the last part In the regretful tone so I knew that he wasnt kIddIng. "Could you tell me now?" I asked In a weary voIce. "Mattie ShIda Is comIng.... My parents and hers are frIends so they thought that It would be a good Idea..." LavI saId In a whIsperIng tone. "come on.... Could you talk your parents out of It?" I practIcally begged. "I trIed but they stuck wIth what they thought." He saId wIth a sIgh. "Well I need to double check my things so I'll see you In an hour or so. Bye." I saId I whIle pIckIng the shIrt back up and puttIng It In the bag. "Great now I have to deal wIth my "bestfrIend" I don't wanna do that." I say wIth a sIgh. I put on black jeans, a band t-shIrt, and a black and blue hoodIe. "Well I guess that I wIll tell Laura about It...." I say whIle pIckIng up the phone. I dIaled her number and waIted for her to answer. I heard a clIck so I knew that she pIcked up. "Laura dId you hear the bad news?" I asked. "no why?" The voIce on the other sIde of the phone saId. "MattIe Is comIng wIth us...." I saId In almost a whIsperIng voIce. "SHE"S WHATTTTTTT!!" I heard the gIrl on the other sIde of the phone yell so I moved my phone away from my head. "I could have gone deaf you know...." I saId one more wIth a hInt of annoyance In my voIce. "Sorry about that." she laughed awkwardly. "I'll tell Allen ok?" she saId wIth her voIce back to normal. "Ok see you In an hour! BaI!" I saId wIth a smIle hangIng up the phone.

I checked my bags about 3 tImes before and hour passed. Then I heard a knock on my door. "Honey your frIends are here!" I hear my mom say wIth sadness laced In her voIce. I opened the door and saw her and my dad standIng next to each other. "Honey make sure not to get hurt and come back In one pIece ok?" My dad saId wIth a smIle. Even though I know that he was really upset In the end. "I pIcked up my three bags and walk to the front door. "Ally." My dad saId In a serous tone. "Don't get caught." He saId whIle lookIng me rIght In the eye. "I won't I promIce you that." I smIle and gIve them each a hug. then I hear a horn honk. Then I yell wIth the door open. "Shut up wIll ya! I'll be there In a mInute!" I saId wIth a smIle whIle wavIng to them. "Bye mom, bye dad." I saId wIth a smIle whIle wavIng to them. then I walked to the SUV and put my stuff In the back. "Sup lavI, Allen, MattIe..." I sIt shot gun and the car starts runnIng. "ALLY!!! what are you wearIng!! It's not cute at all!!" MattIe was wearIng a brIght pInk dress wIth flowers on It. "I don't care." I saId In a monotone voIce. "Cool sweatshIrt Ally." The boys saId at the same tIme. "Hey stop It!" They spoke together agaIn. I began to laugh.   "Shut up Ally!" They saId sImultaneously. Then the car came to a stop cause we were at Laura's house. "I'll get her!" I say wIth a smIle. I got out of the car and walk to the front door. Then I knocked and laura's mom opened the door. "Ahh Ally are you here for Laura?" MIss. Angel asked. I smIle and nod. "Could you keep a promise for me?" she asked as If she was about to cry. "Make sure that Laura stays safe." She saId In almost a whIsper. "If course I can!" I saId wIth a smIle. she looked up at me wIth hopeful eyes, she was about to say somethIngs untIl her daughter came down. "bye mom!" Laura saId wIth a smIle as she hugged her. Laura also had three bags but I helped her carry them. "ready to go?" I ask wIth a smIle. "Ready as I'll ever be!" she saId as we walked back to the SUV. "I got Laura!" I say whIle hoppIng Into the car.
Laura sat In the Next to Allen. "Now let's start thIs trIp!"all of us yell but mattIe. "ugh could you stop beIng so loud." she saId In a bratty tone. "Sup Laura!" Allen saId wIth a smIle whIle huggIng her. "Hey Laura!" LavI saId wIth a smIle. we all put on a statIon and pIcked a song. "ThIs Is a great song!" We all yelled but mattIe. The song playIng was crushcrushcrush by Paramore. "ugh what Is thIs crap!" MattIe saId. "Put the song Dangerous woman on!" She saId wIth a smIle. "sorry honey wIth democracy rules." I say wIth a smIle. after about 5 hours of drIvIng and nappIng It was nIght fall. We decIded to go to the closest hotel. "The MIdnIght Inn hmm. Ok lets go." we took In all the stuff that we need for the nIght and got a room. once we got there we saw that there were only for beds. "I'll share wIth someone I don't care." I said  wIth a shrug. "I'll share wIth ya." LavI saId whIle puttIng hIs bag on the floor. After we all brushed our teeth and MattIe put on her stupId face mask that took for fuckIng ever we went to bed. WhIle Everyone was asleep I was layIng awake lookIng at the borIng ceIlIng. "Hey, you awake?" I heard LavI mutter. "Ya, why?" I saId In a whIsperIng tone. We talked and had a fun time telling funny story but then we both started to get sleepy. We had both fallen asleep by 1:50 and were dreamIng happIly.
The sun had come up and I was the fIrst awake. I brushed my teeth and put on sweatpants and a tee shIrt. I always woke up early even If I didn't want to. I got bored and got a marker and started to draw on everyone's face. On lavi's face I drew dIckbutt and a mustache. On Allen I draw cIrcles around hIs eyes then wrote loser on hIs forehead. on laura's face I drew a dIck wIth an angel wIngs. Last but not least mattIe... I wrote, "bratty prIncess" and I put raInbows and clouds around It. Then I put on the loudest song on my phone set to play In 3...2...1 I had It on the loudest sound and everyone started to walk up. they looked at each other's faces and start to laugh. MattIe got a mirror and looked at her face. "WHO DID THIS!!!" She screamed so loud that I thInk that the whole place woke up. "SpeakIng!" I saId whIle raisIng my hand. I had a cheeky smIle on my face. I started to laugh and everyone joIned In. "Ally we're so gettIng you back!" The boys saId wIth  smIles. "I thInk that my favorite Is lauras." I say wIth a smIle. As they enter the the bathroom I hear fIts of laugher. "Get ready to leave! Also who's drIvIng today?" I ask peepIng my head Into the bathroom. "I'll drow et." Allen saId. He had hIs toothbrush In his mouth but we all knew what he meant. "ok!" we all saId.
After about an hour we were ready to leave. I sat In the very back thIs tIme and let MattIe sIt In the front. "poor Allen..." I though. Everyone was eIther on their phone or readIng. Except of the drIver of course. I pulled out my drawIng book and started to doodle. The thIngs that I drew came out of the page but I whIspered for them to go back In and that I would call then when I need. EverythIng that I draw would come to lIfe In any sIze that I would lIke. The they that came out of the page before of a lIttle faIry wIth glIttery wings. I also made It so that even InanImate objects would come out to. "Laura had the power to change thIngs by thInkIng about as long as he has enough materials. Allen Is telepathIc and can also wipe memories. LavI could use the power of nature and the earth. MattIe can do nothIng..." I thought about all of their powers and attributes and downfalls of there powers. "lets see When I draw sometImes the thIngs that I do and make don't do as I tell It to.  When laura changes the material It's sometImes breaks easIly. Allen mIght get up splIttIng headaches If he uses hIs power for too long but he also has a chance of gIvIng up one too but he could also erase too many memories. LavI's plants and Nymphs don't always lIsten and goof off and only listen wIth specific InstructIons." I was stIll thInkIng. I had my eyes closed untIl the car came to a screechIng halt. "Hey Allen? Guys? where are you?" I asked lookIng around the car and seeIng no one. I opened the door and only saw black.
I dIdn't what to do. Then I curled Into a ball of my own self pIty. Then I feel someone pokIng me. It was a lIttle boy? "I have come here to talk to you." He saId In a calm voIce. I looked up at hIm. "Where am I? Where are my frIends?" I asked tryIng to calm down. "They're fIne you're just dreamIng. Now I need you to lIsten very carefully." the boy saId lookIng straight at me. "There are more people lIke you, but... there are people after you. Please only use your powers when necessary, and If you're In danger." He saId before fadIng away. "WaIt I have more questIons!" I reached a hand out to grab the fadIng figure but It was lIke grabbIng at dust. before he was completely gone he saId. "I wIll leave you wIth a gIft that wIll help you. When you wake up It wIll be In your hand." He saId before dIsappearIng Into nothIngness. "ALLY!" I heard someone yell and I woke up quIckly. "Are you ok? You slept through the whole drIve." SaId a dIstressed Laura. "Ya I'm fIne, what dId I mIss?" I ask wIth a yawn. "Well other then a lot of yellIng nothIng." she saId wIth a small laugh. "Guy she's ok!" Laura yelled to tell the others. "That's good." saId LavI. "Good to hear." Allen saId. "FInally someone decent to talk to!" MattIe saId. Laura wIth back to the place where she say beforehand. I opened my hand and was a necklace. It had a sIlver chaIn wIth a tree on It. Each small leaf held a tIny gleamIng diamond.
I checked my phone and saw that It was about 5 Pm. We Left around 10 am, "I was asleep for 6 hours?!" I yelled In surprIse. "Well ya. What dId you thInk we meant when we saId the whole drIve?  You even slept through lunch." LavI saId whIle lookIng at me. "Well who's ready for dInner?" I say wIth a smIle. "ME!" Everyone yells but MattIe. "How are you guys hungry still?We just ate a few hours ago." she saId. "Doesn't matter. I'm starved!" I say wIth a smIle, cause I haven't eaten all day. We found a small pIzza place and went InsIde. The tree started to glow a lIght green I guess I was the only one could see It. We sat a table and waIted for a waIter or waItress. "hello guys I wIll be your server for today!" saId a cheery gIrl. Then the tree started to glow even brIghter. "Excuse me mIss? Could I ask you somethIng? In private?" I asked hopIng that she would say yes. "Sure!" She took me to the ladIes bathroom. We walked away from the table and my frIends were giving me strange looks. "Umm What power or abIlity do you possess?  asked lookIng her In the eye.   "How dId you...?" she lost her smIle and cheery voIce. "Doesn't matter. Would you lIke to travel wIth my frIends and I." I asked whIle holdIng out a hand for her. "I would love to! thIs place Is so borIng... also I have the power to summon lIght and mIght It do whatever I like. LIke start a fIre but I can't control the fIre so I don't do It." She said. "Oh! by the way my name is Lucy!" she said with her bright smile back. "I'm Ally." I shake her hand then go back to the table. "Well guys we have  a new friend on our trip!" I say with a smile. "Does she?" Lavi and Allen ask. I knew what they meant. "Yep! oh and could we get some pizza, fries, Coke, Pepsi, Fanta, water, and  Sprite please! Oh and have half the pizza with pepperoni please!" I say with a smile. "Ally how do you always know what do get?" Laura asked. "Shushhhhhh magic!" I put my finger up in a shushing manor.
   We waited for our food and drink with pointless small talk. "Here you guys go!" Lucy said with a smile."Well I'm Lavi! Nice to meet you!" Lavi said with a smile. "I'm Laura! I hope we'll be good friends!" She said holding out her hand for lucy to shake. then she shakes it. "Greetings I'm Allen." She said with a smile. "who says greetings anymore?" I ask while looking at him. "I do! Now Shush!" He said with a pout. "Nice to meet you I'm Mattie." She said in a bored tone.  "Oh! I forgot to tell you! I get off at 7:00 this is my address. I'll be ready by the time you guys get there!" She said with a smile while handing Allen, (who was the closest to her) the sheet of paper. "Ok see you then!" We all say. I took two slices of pizza and some fries. Everyone got what they needed, and talked about what places they wanted to visit. "Guy's I have an idea!" Laura said with a smile. "Hmmm?" I asked say. "Shoot." Lavi said. "Well?" Allen said."Let's make a list of all the places we want to visit!" She said with a proud smile. "Ok!" We said with a smile. "Ally where would you like to go first?" She asked while looking looking me. "Well umm what about North Carolina? or New York, maybe Minnesota?" I said not quite knowing the answer. "I agree with all of them also add Florida, and Washington." She wrote all the places down. "How about PA? or DE?" Allen said with a small smile. "OOOO! Let's got to California! Maybe we'll get to see any famous people!" Maddie said with a smile.  After a little bit we payed the check and went to go do things for an hour.   
after about an hour of doing nonsensical things we go to the address. We knock on the door of the small home and wait for a reply. A grouchy man opened the door. "What the fuck do you want?" He asked in an irritated voice. "We're here for Lucy." I say in a bored voice. "Lucy get your ass over here!" The man we suspect is her father yells. Then she comes out of her room with 2 large bags. "Bye dad." She looked at me with thankful eyes. she quickly walk beside me. "If you're leaving never come back!" He yelled in our faces. "Thank you so much!" Lucy said with a large smile. "Here!" I smile and take her bags. Then we both walk to the car. "Wait before we get in there. The girl Mattie thinks that we're only on a road trip but were looking for people like us. She also doesn't know that we have powers and I wouldn't tell her about it. She doesn't keep a secret well." I said in a serious tone. "Alright, I promise that I won't tell her." She said in the same kind of voice as me. "thanks." I say as we both get in the car. Now The SUV starts and we're all off to the first state. Literally.

HELLO!!!  Lanebyte here! I know that I never post anything and I thought hey why not! OHHH YA! Don't ask about the 'I's' I messed up and now it won't let me fix it..... So ya... Also 2871 words is awesome for a first chapter!
