When Darkness Came

Chapter 3

As you very well know, Natsu has very keen senses and can smell things a mile away. He instantly recognized the scent of the girl and tried to trail it through Magnolia. He soon found the smell and started to follow it. As he ran along the river, he thought about the peculiar way the girl came to the guild. "Could there be another dark wizard trying to threaten humanity?", he thought to himself. As he just turned a corner, he spotted the girl running along the road. Natsu ran faster to try to catch up to her. Just as he was almost there she noticed him and darted into an alleyway. He followed her and eventually cornered her in a dead end. She cowered in the corner trying to stay as far away as possible from him. " Don't worry," Natsu said," I'm not here to hurt you, I just want to get you back in the guild hall so you can be safe." The fear at in the girls eyes seemed to diminish a little as she heard his words. "I-I'm scared," she said," I don't know where I am and I can't remember anything about my life." As she said that she broke down in tears. Great sobs that came from deep within. Natsu stepped up to her and this time she didn't back away. "Come to Fairy Tail and we can help you", Natsu said with a big grin on his face. There girl looked up and nodded, looking at him with big, trusting, eyes. They walked back to the guild hall in silence, but this time the girl looked forward with courage and not fear.
