***Alice P.O.V.***

I was currently being watched by a police officer, since I was moved into the same room as Jade they decided to keep a better watch on me. My surgery went well and I currently have a cast on my arm which I asked for in blue to match my eyes. Jace and Ian are supposed to be coming over later today but I'm not sure how they'll be able to see me unless they pretend like they're here to see Jade.

There aren't any charges against me for hurting Jade since my parental guardians (my parents) wouldn't dare press any against me. I'm basically cleared for this thing against Jade since apparently Abby and Rosie said something about my parents to Sadie and Zachary. I think they're keeping up this façade in order to get information about my parents, unlikely.

'Jade, you have visitors.' A nurse opened the door smiling down at my sister who was currently watching tv in her bed. She had a nasty bruise running up the side of her body, they said she had a concussion and would need to stay for observation. It's been 3 days since the incident so she can be released once all the story has been found out.

It's unsure if they need to call child protective services or not since they still don't have the whole story. They know we're related and that my mom basically abandoned her in the hospital, however since I'm here it's not technically abandonment. I've refused to rat out my father because I'm afraid he'll retaliate and go after the McNair's if I say something. I doubt he's shown his face at home however; once they get his DNA from the beer bottles by my room it'll be over for him. Then I can come clean. Luckily he's already in the system due to being a police officer.

The door handle was opened by Jace and Ian. I sat up covering some of my bruises with my blankets.

Jace's eyes went from my face to Jade's in a second, his eyes softened as he walked toward her, giving me privacy to cover as much of me as I saw fit.

Ian's eyes however burned right through me, his jaw was tense and his fists were clenched slightly; if this action was toward me or my father I don't know.

'Jafes?' Jade asked sitting up her blue eyes rounder in shock.

'Hey Jade,' Jace sat on her bed and hugged her tightly. 'I didn't think you'd remember me.' He kissed the top of her head.

'Courfes, your ma brover!' Jade turned and looked up at Jace, kissing him on the cheek. 'I love you.'

'I love you too baby sister, I'm glad you're safe.' Jace closed his eyes and let her go so she could continue her show.

'Hey.' I smiled at him, my body effectively covered. Usually I'm not embarrassed to show my bruises around people that already know what my father does but Jace was just different. He was stronger, I didn't want to seem weak.

'Hey,' Jace smiled back looking at my arm brace. 'It matches your eyes.'

'That was the goal.' I held it up to my eyes and batted my lashes at him.

'Beautiful.'

'Could you tell your boyfriend to stop staring at me like that?' I mouthed to him.

'Ian, you should get me a pudding!' Jace began to jump up and down like a kid.

'What?' Ian looked taken back by Jace's actions.

'Chocolate pudding!' Jace shouted, getting more excited by the idea of pudding. Jade perked her head up and began to bounce on her bed.

'Choclate pudding!' She shouted as well.

The police officer out the door opened it at the commotion, looking back and forth between Jade and Jace. He shrugged and turned back outside the room closing the door most of the way.
