The boy continues to drag me behind him taking huge strides I would struggle but still be able to keep up with normally, now it is impossible. I haven't so much as stood in god knows how long much less walked through a jungle. Not to mention I don't even reach the boy's shoulder so my legs are quite a bit shorter.

But I try, it might not count for much, nothing actually. But I do my best which isn't all to good to keep up with him. To walk on my own if nothing else to keep my dignity, to show them I am not useless. Not the useless girl they think I am.

Just when I finally think I am keeping up with him and that I won't be dragged anymore he comes to a sudden stop. I would have crashed straight into his back if it wasn't for my thankfully still good reaction time.

"Looky here boys! Rufio's brought us a present!" A taunting boys voice rang from the clearing we stopped at.

"Be sure to show our guest your best behavior boys! Wouldn't want to make a bad impression now would we!" He continued as boys quickly circled us.

They are quite the group I must admit, I spot one boy the smallest who must be only seven or eight, the tallest being the boy who brought me here, taking another look I estimate he is about eighteen but looks can be deciving here on this wreched island. There's about a dozen if not more boys that seem somewhere between eight to eighteen even with the variety of ages they all have scars and bruises littering their bodies, mud, twigs and leafs stuck to their clothes and skin, and all have a mischievous and boyish gleam in their eyes.

I can easily figure out the leader, he's not the tallest, the strongest looking, nor does he have and real outwardly distinct characteristics that would normally lable him any sort of leader. But I am positive he is the leader of the band of boys surrounding me. He was the one who first addressed me, the one who holds himself the highest, the one the other boys seem to look up to.
He's the leader if the lost boys.
He's Peter Pan.
