"How did your talk with Dick go?" Selina asked Bruce as he entered the Batcave.

"How do you think it went?"

"That good, huh?"

"Well, you can't really blame him. This is his family we're talking about."

Selina nodded. She then held up what she was holding.

"Look what I found!" She smiled. "It's my old Catwoman costume. You remember me giving this to you?"

"Yeah. You gave it to me the first time you tried to go straight." He smirked at her. "That didn't last long, did it?"

"Hey!" She looked at the outfit. "I can't believe you kept it." She looked back at Bruce and grinned. "I didn't know you cared!"

"I've always cared about you, Selina," Bruce replied in a low voice, "even when we were at odds."

Selina walked up to him and placed a hand on his face. She kissed him on his cheek.

"Bruce, I didn't know you cared."

"I do care. And that's why you can't come with me when I face Bane."

She backed away from him and gave him a look.

"Please, Bruce.  You know as well as anyone that I do whatever I want. So I'm going with you. Besides something tells me you're going to need all the help you can get."

Bruce thought for a moment, then he said, "Fine. We better prepare. Dick only gave us an hour before he calls in the police."

"Sounds like a plan."

With that, Bruce changed into the Hellbat suit sans the helmet while Selina change into her old Catwoman outfit.

"What do you know," Selina said to Bruce, her back turned to him as she looked over her shoulder at him, "the old outfit still fits. I guess crime does have it's advantages!" She caught Bruce's eyes panning down her skintight outfit and she grinned wickedly at him and said, "Are you staring at my ass, Bruce?"

Bruce shook his head as they both shared a laugh. "Look at us cracking jokes when we're about to face one of the most dangerous criminals of all."

"All the more reason to lighten the emotional load of the situation." Selina peered over at the parked Batmobile, which Bruce hadn't driven since his last disastrous encounter with The Joker when Billy Piper and Harley Quinn were killed, and said, "So do I get to drive the famous Batmobile?"

Bruce shook his head firmly. "No."

Instead of getting upset with him, she just grinned and said while looking at him, "What's the matter, Bruce? You don't want a chick driving your car?"

"No, there's still a warrant out for Batman's arrest, and, if you drive the car, especially while wearing that costume, you'll more than likely get arrested."

She nodded. "Gotcha. I guess I'll drive my motorcycle then." She looked right at him. "How are you getting there?"

"There's a jet-pack attached to the wings on the suit."

She smiled and nodded. "Nice!" Selina glanced down and happened to catch the circular ammo feeder that was attached to the turret gun on the right hand of the suit that ran all the way to the back of the Hellbat suit. "An ammo clip, Bruce?"

He gave a terse nod of his head. "Yes."

"Let me guess: rubber bullets, right?"

He forced a grin. "Yeah."

If Selina had bothered to look any closer, she would have noticed that Bruce had replaced the rubber bullets with real ones . . .

I'm not sure how long it will take to get the next chapter up since it's the big battle scene between Batman & Bane, but, like always, I'll get it up ASAP! Meanwhile, please feel free to comment and/or vote on the rest of the story. Thanks!
