There were hundreds of humans, hanging naked on machines with a tube inside each side of their throats, stealing their blood. The people were pale, skinny, most likely half dead. Evelyn began to cry and hammered against the window, but none of the people hanging there reacted.

"Oh god!" Evelyn cried. Suddenly, the door opened again and in stepped Robert.

"What the fucking hell are you doing here?" he screamed angrily and his eyes turned red.

"What I am doing here? What are you doing here?" she screamed and pointed at the people. "They're humans! I thought we were the last ones! What are you doing to them? They're half dead and you're stealing their blood! Is that why we are here? Is that what you want to do to us? Hang us up there and leave us until we're dead and bloodless? It's a fucking blood farm!"

"Be quiet!" Robert hissed, grabbed her arm and pulled her closer to him. "You're not here for that." He pointed to the humans. "You're really here to help us, I didn't lie to you but this here is very important. They're the last source of blood we have, that's the reason why they are here."

"But this is cruel! Why can't you just take the blood and let them die!"

"Because they need to be kept alive long enough until we find a replacement! We only take a bit of blood from everyone every day, so they can reproduce and then we do it again. That's how we get our blood but this can't go on forever, it's very harmful so we need to get as much blood as we can before they all die."

"That's not an excuse! You're all so disgusting, I hate you!" Evelyn screamed and started to hammer her fists against his chest. Robert was unimpressed, grabbing Evelyn's hands, stopping her.

"You will not speak to me with such disrespect!" he dangerously said, looking down on her. "Don't forget what I can do."

"Oh, you're threatening me now." Evelyn struggled and tried to get free. "Great, I don't care!"

"I don't have to explain myself." Robert said angrily. "It's for the well-being of all vampires. You have no right to criticize that, you're human, you do not belong into this world, you can't understant this."

"Wow, great! Now it's all my fault even though you're the one who are torturing humans."

"We're not...you know what? Forget it! I don't have time for your childish beaviour! We're ging home, now!" He tagged her along the hallways, out of the bulding and into the car.

When they arrived home, Evelyn stormed up the stairs to her room, searching for her backpack which she brought here from the streets. When she found it, she started to throw some pants, shirts, shoes, socks and underwear in it. She wouldn't stay here, she would just go back to streets, they were her home, not this here. Robert stayed downstairs, grabbing a bottle of Whiskey and allowed himself a huge glass, which he drowned in one gulp.

"Fucking shit." he murmured and sat down on the couch.

"What's wrong?" Susan asked suddenly, standing behind the couch and placing her hands on Robert's shoulders, massaging them.

"She fucking knows."

"About the..?"

"Yeah, about the blood farm."

"That's unfortunate." She took a seat next to him. "But you can't change it now."

"She will never understand."

"Of course not, she is just a child and a human."

"Mhh." Robert simply murmured and nodded. "So, you're well-rested? After our long night?" He smirked and winked at her mischiviously, changing the topic.

"Oh yes, I am."

"Did you take a test?" asked Robert excitingly, hoping that there would be some good news.

"Not yet, give it some time."

"I know, but I want to know!"

"Yes, baby but it's highly unlikely that we made a child the first time. We both have busy lives, it could take some time."

"Let's try again." he whispered, turned to her and kissed her neck. "Or are you sore from last night?" Robert smirked but before they went even further, someone ran down the stairs.

"Evelyn!" screamed Robert and stood up, he would talk some sense into that girl.

"What do you want?" she screamed back, opening the door, ready to leave.

"Don't you dare to walk out of that door!" Robert said dangerously calm.

"Why? You can't tell me what to do, you're not my dad!" Susan joined them with a sad face.

"Evelyn, please stay. We can talk about this, sweetie."

"Oh no, we can't! What he's is doing is just horrible! I can't, I won't help you anymore! Goodbye!" And with that she ran out of the door and disappeared into the night.
