I have no friends and no way out of my secret! I said. Walking to math class. Some girl had a bottle of water and spilled it all over me! Making a dash to the bathroom was outrageous. I could not wait till summer.
"Hi Dad can I ask you something?"
"Yes bella what is it?" I thought about what I was going to say for a while and then the words came out.
"Can I go out and go for a walk to the pond?"
sigh" Fine but be back before dark, and take your phone, and.."
"I know don't talk to strangers and don't get in anyone's cars I know this I am 15 now."
Dad smiled at me and gave me a hug.
When I walked out the door I saw a Moving van next door. The last owners moved away because they had a new baby. There was a little boy in the yard, about the same age as danny, playing in a sand box I have never seen before. Then a woman came out and walked up to me.
"Hello my name is jane. I saw you come out of the house next door. Would you mind telling me what your name Is and you can meet the family as well" She said in a cheerful voice. She was tall thin and had brown hair with green eyes , same as the boy, Unlike me I have blond hair and blue eyes. So I walked in the house and saw they father and a young girl same age and same height as me. "Hi" she said "my name is amy"
That day we went to for the walk I was planing and I noticed the necklace on her neck. "where did you get that?" I said. "O this I found it a few years ago and I have worn it since." This gave me a hint that she was just like me.
"hey will you show me around the town a little?" she asked me
"Ya sure. What do you want to see first?"
"Don't care just Show me around, But let's not go near the seaside or go swimming." and that's when it hit me.
"You are a Mermaid!" I thought about what i said when It came out.
"What? What are you talking about?! I am not a Mermaid! They do not exist!" she said. Then I took a look on her shoulder, And there it was a spot of scales."Hay!!" She shouted quietly "please do not turn me in. I do not want to be studied. And how did you know I was a mermaid anyway!"
"Well Promise not to tell please" then I showed her a little patch I had on my shoulder blade.
"We'd better get home I will see you tomorrow" Said amy
"Bye"
