Opening the doors of Sunset Burger Shack were like opening the doors of hell. Once it's opened it's impossible to close. There is always something coming inside.

The second the doors were opened, a crowd of twenty, almost thirty people swarmed into the shack, and all lined up at the cashier where Hanna was taking their orders. Nico was up on the stage doing what he did best: entertaining. He played his ukulele as everybody ate their burgers. Hanna and Nico got the interesting jobs, while Jake and Rein... flipped patties.

Rein looked back at Hanna and Nico, and moaned, "How come I never get to work at the cashier? Hanna always seems to do that." Jake smiled as he threw another pattie into the air.

"I don't know if you noticed, but there are a couple people in New York that don't like you for being accused of cheating. We don't want to lose our business, but you are great at flippin' patties, so..." Jake said with a grin. "Get my drift?" He finished. Rein sighed, and nodded.

Hanna poked through the window of the kitchen and screamed, "I'm gonna need a large cheeseburger with a sunset shake." Rein nodded sleepily, and started on the cheeseburger as Jake went off to make the shake.

This was the process every day at the burger shack. Rein and Jake were the "backstage crew", while Nico and Hanna were the "main attention", giving everyone a show.

The burger that Rein was putting together was-as usual-very well done. The meat was perfect heated, and the pickles were cold and juicy as they were randomly placed onto the burger. Rein quickly noticed her mouth was watering, and grabbed a napkin with her gloved hand. With a quick wipe, Rein finished creating the burger.

Something fun about Sunset Burger Shack's kitchen: the counter slides. Rein rolled the burger to Jake as a bartender would a drink, and he caught it, placing it on the finished plate. Through the doorway, he tossed the meal over to Hanna, who brought it over to the assigned table.

The group had their own system. They knew the process of each other, and worked well together like a well oiled machine. Rein smiled calmly, and waited for Hanna to say the next order.

The day went on and on. The minimum amount of people to come each day at the burger shack were sixty people. It died down overnight. Rein had said goodbye to Nico and Jake, and went home with Hanna. Sunday was just a repeat.

The next morning, Rein woke up with the bright orange sun shining down on her. She groaned in frustration. Every week, every weekend is a repeat she thought as she repeated the morning once again. However, something... different happened this morning.

As she was brushing her teeth, toothpaste dripping from her mouth, Rein found something odd was in her uniform drawer. She found a book, a very futuristic looking book. The leather-bind of the book looked very fresh, and well made, the same brown color patterned throughout the book. Hesitantly, she slowly grabbed the book.

What was inside? Rein thought. Is this the school's way of saying I'm suspended? At a snail's pace, Rein opened the book.

August 28th

An Unexpected Trip

A Never Ending Ghost town

The Fear of the Unknown

August 28th is today. That's odd... Rein thought. She flipped through the rest of the pages, but they were all blank. Maybe it was the August 28th years ago. An unexpected trip, a never ending ghost town, and the fear of the unknown... The words bounced around Rein's mind, echoing throughout her thoughts. Eventually, she pocketed the book in her satchel and continued getting ready for the day.
