"Little Lizzy! Your father told you never to go up that tower!' said Claire, Lizabeth's personal maid. Little Lizzy was her nickname. Lizabeth got it because she was extremely small, even for an eight-year-old.

Claire was of average height, but not very well developed for a twenty-year-old. She had a short light brown bob that always had a black bow in it that matched her black and white maid's outfit. She had chocolate brown eyes. Claire was also quite skinny, for she never ate much.

Lizabeth was very small, she had long black hair that cascaded down her back. her green eyes sparkled like bright big stars that shown in the midnight sky. Skin so pale it would put vampires to shame. She always wore a bright colored dresses, her mother insisted that Lizabeth add color to her almost monochrome appearance besides the young girls green eyes.

"But I saw something in the window when I was outside. I just want to see what it was! Please, Ms. Claire?"

"Lizabeth! If you go up there, I am forced to tell your father. Come back down here!" Claire demanded, but Lizabeth didn't listen. Frankly, she didn't care. Lizabeth just wanted to see everything that that was up there. She continued on up the stairs to the tower.

As she started to get closer to the top of the tower, everything around her started to get really dark and smelly. When Lizabeth reached the top, she opened the door that separated the top step from the room that lay beyond. A cold gust of wind blew past her face. Then she herd something.

A laugh. It was deep and slightly menacing.

          "Hello?"

          No response.

"Hello! Is someone there? Come out!" Lizabeth shouted.

Once again, nothing happened. No one came out from hiding. The thing behind the laughter still remained hidden.

"I know you're there! Come out now or I will continue to yell and pester you!"

An angry voice reached out. "Fine! I'll come out! But only to get you to shut up!" The voice sounded like an echo. Deep and strong yet almost as if from a different plain.

Then a green mist suddenly appeared and started filling the room. Another laugh sounded as a figure loomed forward from the mist.
