When I turned around I saw something that completely stopped my heart. My brother, was swarmed by countless numbers of guards who shoved him to his knees and put their spears to his neck. Six men laden with scratched, iron armor that seemed as if it had been made with haste and it didn't matter for its job surrounded my brother in a semi-circle around him. However, there was one guard with smooth, polished silver armor that looked as if it were custom made for someone higher up the ranks. I looked to the rifle he was aiming at my brother's head and the dark wood of his rifle caught my eye as I recognized what it was. That was the rifle that was slammed against my the right side of my head to detain me the day my life ended.
The ominous voice of the King's Personal Bounty Hunter spits at me, "Oh look, the definition of scum. Tell me, how did you do it?"
"Oh look, the definition of a monster. Tell me, how did you do it? How did you so casually beat my little brother to death?" I give my brother a look to let him know to keep quiet about us being brothers, but all I got from my brother was a calm look and a wink.
The Bounty Hunter walks over to and swipes the back of his hand across my face. "There is only one monster in this room, and..."
"I'm looking at him" I interrupt him and look him dead in the eyes.
He takes his rifle and hits me with the familiar wooden end. Completely worth it. "Guards! Take this man to Him!" The Bounty Hunter looked at me and smirked when he said that, almost as if he knew He was waiting to do it again. "And take him too!" The Bounty Hunter pointed at my brother and three guards grabbed me by the arms and the other three did the same with my brother.
"Have fun!" Were the last words before they put sacks over our heads and dragged us by our arms down the hallway. Two guards held our arms, one for each arm, and the third held their spear pointed at our backs. We walked for what seemed like 15 minutes. The guards took us down several different hallways, with only four turns. First a right, then another right and after that they took the sacks off of our heads, we took another right and the grips on our arms loosened up. What are they doing? After the fourth turn I saw the very familiar wall I escaped through and I heard the grunts of the guards holding spears to our backs and felt the grips on my arms disappear. I turned to see two guards on the ground and my brother standing with his arms folded and a smug look on his face.
"What, just happened?" I say while giving my brother a confused look.
"Well, When you're the leader of The Scum you tend to have connections." I open my mouth and start to say something but my brother already knows what's about to leave my mouth and he explains before I can ask. "The Scum are the rebels of Etag. We oppose The Legion and their rein of tyranny and it just so happens I am their leader. We've been planning this breakout for months and I took every precaution to make sure you'd get out of here alive. Now, we really have to go before something else happens, and I don't want to meet Him."
I look up at my brother and a shiver goes down my spine, "Yeah, I saw the way you looked when he said that. I don't have to know." My brother says to me as he gives me a reassuring look and says two more words before all hell breaks loose, "Let's go"
