Rachel's POV 

"Why does she have to go here, don't they have schools in... where she comes from," Yeah i don't like her, who? That will be surprising if you don't know my cousin. She is the popular snotty stuck up rich kid, well at least in my opinion. But i get around.

I do know how to get under her skin and out of my way, i just keep talking. She gets annoyed so easily that she will just-

"I know she gets to have everything she wants over there and nothing over here. Everybody will be happy if she just leaves." You see we were trying to argue with our grandma, me and my sister, before school. It's not going so well.


"There are some things you just don't understand," She sighed and sat in a chair, "And don't need to understand. All you need to know is that she will be staying here for the rest of the semester or at least until her birthday."

Things i don't need to understand please. We all know a lot more, more then Val anyway. I just shook my head, there's no changing her mind. I pick up my stuff and waited to go to school, I am really hoping that i don't have any classes with her.



"Class this is Valorine Velcap, she will be joining the class the rest of the semester." Our teacher Miss Reynolds said with that way over the top cheerful voice. Val got a lot of whistles from the boys and glares from the girls, welcome to my cliche high school folks.

"You may take a sit at an empty desk Miss. Velcap," Val looked around and of course found an empty place right next to the hottest (In my opinion and a lot of others) guy in school, also known as Mr. Bad Boy and my sisters boyfriend.

"Well look at that we got a new girl people," The boy sitting next to me says to his friends not caring about his volume, "Wonder if she's a good girl."

Val,

"I am no good girl and i'm no bad girl," I said looking at him right in the eye."You can't be both everybody knows that. It is either good girl or bad girl," He said smirking, possibly thinking he will win this fight. "Try me, i can be both." With that i turned away put my legs on the desk and stared at the ceiling, I am not one but the other. If i chose i am nothing and i know it.

"The date is getting closer and we still don't have an antidote. If we don't get it everybody will die." That women again Marse. The man pounded a table, they were both in some kind of taragation room this time. "I know but we still have a little time if you can just get me the stone and about three more days." Aras the guy again.

Marse looked tired and stressed, i don't think that's good for health. "The counsels not going to go for this, The are not going to-"

The door has opened and they immediately stopped talking. A young boy came in about 4 maybe 5, "Mom dad," His voice, "The Exstracters are here, and they want to talk."

Exstracters?

"Ms.Velcap what is the answer to number five. Would somebody wake her up," Right i'm still in class at the new school. Not in the investigation place.

"MS. Velcp did you hear me." i looked around everyone was looking at me, i guess i can put on a show. "Of course i heard you, how else would i have fallen asleep," Now that got some laughs, Ms. Reynolds wasn't laughing. "Then what did i say."

You think you scare me please i can go all day, "You said 'Then what did i say.' Are you happy now," The teacher was angry now, i can see some red on her face but that wasn't the only thing. "Thats enough Velcap you have detention today after school and so will everybody else if shes one word. I laugh and stand up with my stuff and go to the front of the room.

I stop right in front of the white boards, erase whatever was on there, which i am pretty sure the teacher shrieked for, and wrote,

"Val is the name, not Ms. Velcap"

I put the marker down, which was in my favorite color, and walked right out of class. Like i said i'm not a bad girl but i'm not a good girl either.
