"Soon my pets..." a voice whispered, "Soon...."
"Aldar! Get your ass up!" a female voice yelled, slapping a male in the face.
"Ow! Hey hey hey Bethanie! Damn..." the male rubbed his cheek gently, as he turned his head towards her, and chuckled, as she covered herself up with the covers, blushing wildly, her brown curly hair everywhere, her bright blue eyes looking him dead in the eyes, "Your looking beauti-"
She interrupted him, punching him in the arm, "Shut up! Get dressed! You got to meet your father in the palace!"
He looked at her for a moment, then screamed, "AH SHIT!!!!!" he shot out of the bed, fixing his afro looking blonde hair, slipping on his white robe with sky blue symbols on the hem of the hood and the sleeves, slipping on some white dress pants. Zipping up the white robe, he chuckled, "So how do I look?" he said, spinning around for her.
"Handsome..." she giggled wrapping the covers around her body, and kissed his lips gently, "Priest Aldar, your getting promoted to Paladin. Your going into your dad's footsteps."
Wrapping his hands around her waist, he whispered, "I love you, Bethanie." he chuckled, kissing her back, and opened the door. The light shined brightly in the sky as he covered his eyes, "Damn..." he mumbled to himself as he shrugged the robe up walking the path towards the palace. The main capital, Luxorus, was a lush filled city, filled with armor shops, weapons shops, hell even the rare occurences of item shops, which people tend to use magic, than to even think about using a elixer. The Palace of Luxorus is visited by most outsiders, quoting 'The most beautiful city in the world.'.
Walking up the stone steps he pushed open the doors to the palace, seeing the two people he wanted to see the most inside, Arsol, his best friend, standing as tall as ever, his long straight black hair going down his white robe, and his father, Rotalar, his spiky green hair was as atrocious as ever, but Aldar shrugged it off.
"Glad you showed up, Aldar, was thinking you were not gonna show up. Hanging around Bethy for too long." Arsol winked at him, and nugged him with his elbow. Aldar gave a fake smile, he always hated how Arsol called her Bethy.
"You two," Rotalar yelled in a burly voice, "Only one of you can become Paladin." Both of them got onto one knee, kneeling before Rotalar, "I have but one choice, he the bravest, adiquite, and protected the walls of Luxorus against the country of Disgorta." he unsheath his brilliantly golden sword with an eagle at the bottom of the hilt, "My own son, and his best friend, only one of you can be Paladin, to take the crown and protect this country of Gortalia..." he placed the flat part of the sword onto Arsol's shoulder, "Arsol, will you take-"
That's all Aldar heard. "This cannot..." he felt tears forming under his closed eyes, hearing the echos of Arsol's shoe clapsing against the cold floor.
"My honor, Your Majesty." Arsol said gently.
"You have no reason to Majesty me, Your Majesty." Rotalar knelled before the now new Paladin, slowly taking off his crown, and handed it to Arsol.
"Aldar stand." Arsol said firmly as Aldar stood up, looking at him, "You are now my honorary knight. Don't fail me, your like a brother to me."
Aldar fought back the tears, and nodded, "I shall be the priest, anything for you, Arsol."
Aldar walked out of the palace, and looked back, "Damn you, Father..."
Arsol smiled down at Rotalar, and laid the flat part of the sword on his shoulder, "Good bye, you haved moved me up on the playing field." he whispered, "Now I shall resurrect the Shades." he sliced through Rotalar's head, his head rolling down the floor, his lifeless body collapsing on the Palace floors, blood puddle around his feet, calling his guards from the entrance, to clean up the evidence, "After you get that, there is one more thing you need to do for me. Inside Aldar's house, there is a trinket, retrieve that, and bring it to me. Aldar knows what it is. Be free to retrieve the girl for me to, there will be a bonus, if you succeed.
The guards nodded, and ran out the Palace. "It has begun the world will know of my pets, of the Shades." he dug his sword through the ground, through the blood, and stepped back, seeing it sticking up, "Let the world's armies come, they will feel my rage.
