The Tomlinson family is composed of five children: the eldest, Liam (Payne), is a teacher in Spain; Louis (Tomlinson), who is a successful career woman in New York; Eleanor (Calder), the middle child who is a London-based, independent film assistant director; Gabby (Tomlinson), who is also a teacher and lives at home with their mother; and Niall (Horan), the youngest and bright son.

Niall shocks his brother and sisters by announcing his intent to marry Demetria lovato (Lovato), his girlfriend of four months. The eldest and the girls are not pleased. After years of being estranged, the only older brother and the three remaining sisters band together to dissuade their brother Niall from marrying his fiancée. As they try to put their plan into action, the Tomlinson siblings also confront emotions and issues they have long suppressed.

New York-based Louis is smart and foolish in equal measure. She's successful and driven, but her careworn melancholy, fuelled by a previous traumatic breakup, prevents her from fully committing to Harry (Harry styles), who repeatedly asks for her hand in marriage.

Eleanor is the underachieving sister who moonlights as an assistant director in indie films. She used to be Louis' confidant-until she fell in love with Zayn (Zayn malik), Louis' rocker ex-boyfriend! Teacher Gabbie has opted to stay home to look after their mom (Jay Tomlinson).

The eldest among the four, Liam, is a waiter cum janitor cum governess working in Spain. Liam payne is amusing in the role as he plays it with his signature Liam Payne performance:demure earnest and light.

The second sister, Louis, is played classily by Louis tomlinson. Louis is the New York-based corporate communications manager who is considered as the smart one in the family. Louis expertly succeeds in giving a hint of depth to the one-dimensional character he was provided with.

The third sister is Eleanor, the "black sheep" and carefree rebel among the siblings. The independent film assistant director is played convincingly by a slimmer and sexier Eleanor Calder.

The fourth sister is Gabbie, the strict, stiff, young "old maid" in the family played maturely by Charlotte Tomlinson. Her one-note performance is understandable given the limited nuance made available to her character.
