*Jack's P.O.V*

Working at the Frostbite dinner is so boring! Each day is the same boring routine. Polish the plastic icicles and wipe the blue tables before the customers start to arrive. After that you have the honour of being hit on by ugly customers or treated like dirt by others because they have fancy positions in big companies. You are rewarded with barely minimum wages and the cycle continues. At least. That is normally my mind-set. This time however, I have some motivation.

In the corner booth to the left of the retarded looking polar bear statue sits a boy about my age. I'm guessing he's a student as well as he is seems to be working on a project. Nothing unusual. Most of our customers are students and more often or not they are working at something or on a date.  The thing is, this guy is the cutest thing I have ever seen.

His reddish brown hair nearly tickled the back of his neck, he wore a really baggy light green Jumper with brown skinny jeans. Freckles covered the bridge of his nose and his cheeks. A old looking pair of glasses rested on his nose. The thing that really stood out to me though was his eyes. They were a deep and beautiful shade of green. Like the grass in summer. Truly breath-taking.

Even as I served other customers all I could think about was that boy. I strolled over to him. Oh Gods the guy was even more attractive up close! "Hi, I'm Jack. Can I take your order?" I asked sweetly.

I jumped someone interrupted my train of thought. I was a little confused as I turned to face the boy standing beside me. Oh yeah, I'm at the diner that Fishlegs recommended. The boy next to me was stunning. His shiny silver hair contrasted dramatically with his startling aqua blue eyes. His blue and white uniform really suited him. I mentally slapped myself. Bad Hiccup! Just because you are gay doesn't mean he his! Behave!

"Y...yeah." I stuttered. "Can I have an order of fries and a coke?" Jack smiled. "Sure thing hot stuff." He winked as he walked away.

My face burned up. He... Did he... Flirt with me? Me!?! The runt of Berk? Fishlegs and I are the only ones to get into Burgess University, One of the most prestigious university in the US. But intelligence means little to the villagers of Berk, who still believe in the old Viking ways. Even my Dad. Especially my Dad. So how could someone as attractive as him want to flirt with me? He's probably just messing with me. Yeah, that must be it.

I shake the thoughts out of my head. I continued with my essay on the mechanics of flight and the evolution of aeroplanes. It may sound dull (it kinda is) but I want to be an engineer. Not sure why to be honest, I just do. Trying to get my attention completely on the screen as I began the next paragraph. All the while I felt like someone was staring at me. I try to pass it off as being to self-conscious but the feeling wouldn't pass.

"If you have time to gawk at the customers you have time to wipe down the tables!" North announced. As usual I ignored him. He could never fire me. I was like a son to him, also he knew fine well that I was broke so he didn't have the heart to let me go. That is not to say he wouldn't tell me off. I saw a fat guy enter the diner from the corner of my eye. Nothing new. He often comes here. North spotted him too. "Go serve him." He ordered as he went off to help Sandy in the kitchen. I nodded and turned to the customer.

"Hi Fishlegs." I greeted him. Normally I don't care about customers but Fishlegs is a good friend. He smiled back. He ordered his usual to go. That's when it hit me. There are only two collages here. The community collage which I attend and Burgess Uni. The community college is quite small so I know everyone there but I have never seen the red head. Maybe Fishlegs knew him.

"Hey Fish." I said after I gave Sandy his order. "Do you know that redhead over there?" I pointed the cutie out. Fishlegs turned to look and seemed to instantly recognise him. "Oh Hic!" He replied. "Yes. Hiccup is my best friend."

"Umm..." I began. "Is he... available?" I stuttered. What's wrong with me? I'm always confident. Fishlegs nodded. I was a little surprised. Someone that cute is single? He seems like a great guy. Anyone would be lucky to have him. Then I grinned. Before the night is over I'll make him mine.

*Normal P.O.V*

Hiccup had finished his fries just as Jack appeared. This time he didn't say a word. Did he regret flirting with Hiccup? Or had he misinterpreted it? Jack cleared up the plate and walked away. Hiccup felt a little disappointed until he saw a note where the plate was.

My cute little Hiccup,

I get off at seven. Wait 'til then. Okay kiddo? ;)
